| Anchorage Area Crawlers
Well, I finally managed to track down some other crawlers in the area. We've been going out just about every weekend for the last month or so. Many of the AK guys have already seen these photos, but I figured I'd post up here and show off some of the scenery we get to enjoy here. Plus, we've got good crawling that's only a 15 minute drive from town All these photos are from March and on up to April 1st. For anyone in the Anchorage area whose interested in meeting up, take a look at the forum at http://www.aroara.org. I've got contact info and all that good stuff posted there. Two PTI rigs and a TLT "scaler" PTI crawler and the scaler again TLT P4 and an SW2 TLT P4 TLT and a PTI Scaler ascending a crack PTI Bug SW2 TLT Group Photo My PTI rig with tire clearance issues |

Who needs axle-c's when you got duct tape! I'd like to see some of those photos Kevin was taking before we go there.

10 am? Jeezus! You guys are early risers! Sounds good. I gotta go out to the valley on Saturday so I will definitely be out Sunday. I'm sure Ricky will be out there Saturday and Sunday. |

Well, it was a pretty good time today (for some). The Gremlins were out in full force. Ricky's ESC blew up before he even got it on the ground. I guess Brian killed two servos. Kevin and I managed to survive the rest of the day without any problems. We managed to find a nice mudhole and got some nice shots of that. I'll have to post 'em up once I can get 'em from Ricky.

Four years? Military? Although that's also the usual timeframe it takes for people to realize that the awesome scenery and unlimited summer activities don't exactly outweigh the nasty winters Thanks for the compliment.

Well, ol' Ricky and I went out on Sunday while everyone and their mother went to the Slush Cup. I don't know why the hell I didn't go. Anyway, went out to McHugh again and it was windy as hell but still a good time. Ricky got a bad case of gremlins though; lower links kept poppin' loose. I figured I'd post up some photos. I posted 'em up at the AROARA site also. Poser shot: Ricky wadded up in the bushes (thanks to a little bump by Your Truly) Ricky stuck in the muck (not my fault) And here's a quick video of Ricky shootin' the rapids (and not having the greatest success) http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...46196799&hl=en And here's probably the best photo I've ever taken |

I'm on Elmendorf and looking at getting my first rig here soon. Any ideas on a good hobby shop in Anchorage? The one in Diamond mall doesn't have very much IMO.
