Juggster designed scale winches, these are all hand built to perfection. You will need a servo modded for winch operation to feed a line through these for them to actually function. Mine is actually not on a winch at this time, however its easy enough to do and would have done it if I had time before Nats.

basically 1st thing you will do is wrap faux line around the barrel portion of the winch, to look like there is line on it. You will set up your servo winch like normal and you may want to have a hidden fair lead under the body. The line will come out, through the hidden fair lead and out **under** the winch barrel and out of its fair lead.

If anyone has any questions, let me know. I can take more pics of the winch if needed.

I was thinking, if they spun, and if the person had a servo winch, they could roll the spring or whatever up on the spool, and then they could have it continue to the servo spool. The spool section has threads in it so the end pcs can be held on, "BUT" if you were to either not make the screws as tight and put some loc-tite on them, "OR" drill out the spool for the screw clearance, the spool would spin, if you do the later you would be relying on the end pc mounting screws to the bottom plate to hold the winch together, not sure if any of that babble makes sense;-):-(:roll:

Ben- what size screw is used to connect the winch to the plate? I'm thinking of raising the winch up off the plate a little with some spacers to create clearance for the "real" winch line to come out the fairlead. Don't have the winch with me and wanted to stop and pick up some longer screws on the way home. Thanks.

2-56 screw.....you might be able to run your cable under the spool instead of lifting the winch itself???? ;-) just a thought
