All,
SCRC (Suburban Chicago Rock Crawlers) will be having a meeting March 8 2008 1pm @ HobbyTown USA Naperville.

Things on the agenda include:
Summer Comp scouting
Summer Comp Buy-in
Comp Distance (how far will you drive)
Judging/Scoring workshop

I would also like to start discussing contacting other area (midwestern) clubs about possibly holding a LARGE summer comp @ Badlands in Attica In.

The indoor course will be mostly open after the meeting. We will be modifying a section of the concrete to hopefully add more area to have comps on without actually expanding the course.

Look forward to seeing all the active members at the meeting and hopefully see some new faces. Dont forget, the only way to get signed up for club benifits is to come to a meeting.

i'll be on spring break so here are my 2 cents. attica would be a real fun trip. depending on how far you want to go their is a town north of indy that the city park has a rock garden built by a tri-state guy that is pretty sweet.

Yeah that Attica trip last year was just totally totally awesome. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I'd be at the meeting but I work most Saturdays.:-(

My bro is working next weekend and since we are no longer counted in the series I might not make the comp either.

everyone is still in the series....the way I worded it at the first comp was bad.... Everyone that didnt make a comp got 100 points (50 for each DNS) The standings are on the website (http://suburbanchicagorockcrawlers.com/ ) Ill start a thread here with the point standings. I missed the Badlands part of last years trip... What I was actually thinking was a comp versus just a GTG (although Im not apposed to a GTG since I go to Badlands ALLOT). We would of course have to work out details with the park but when I have mentioned it to them in the past they were up for it. Only thing is I can almost 100% guarrentee there would be some kind of small fee and you would have to sign the waiver but we would work all that out ahead of time.
