Best Servo/battery Mount

I have two servo/battery mounts that I designed some time ago. Thing is, I can't decide which places the battery in the best position.

Any suggestion/comments - preferably based on the physics and not aesthetics

It looks as if they both put the battery about the same height from the ground. So IMO the cog is relatively the same. But the "hammerhead" setup seems like it would be better for steep vertical climbs and for pulling the front end down to get traction if you get high centered. Also, the "hammerhead" seems like it may be better for providing weight on the front axle for traction during side hilling.

The down side to the "hammerhead" is that when you are making a steep decent, it may help pull or flip the truck over the front end, where as the second mount would provide some weight a little farther back and help keep the a** planted.

Also, the "hammerhead" mount would clear an aftermarket or custom chassis better during flex and full droop, where as the second is taking up space in between the upper links and the chassis.

I had my battery mounted on the upper links for a long time and have also tried in on the front axle. So I say "YAY" for the "hammerhead" and "not-so-yay" for the second.

This is all completely my own opinion and by no means am I an expert. Hope I helped...

I first built #2 but never really used it. I built the hammerhead the next day and used it for months. BUT I was always wondering "What if #2 mount was equally good or better" I currently have #2 mounted but we still have a lot of snow so I've never really had a chance to test #2 on the rocks yet.

The hammerhead should allow for a better COG on verticals, so I'd go with that.
