Hobby Town USA

It might be warm enough for outside comp by next weekend. There are a few spots I have scouted out that look pretty good downtown in the creek area around flatbranch park.

ok john we can crawl outdoors, but if it gets cold we can go back to hobbytown. so pick a spot and post up directions and i will edit the first post.

Aight. I will bring a crawler out to a spot tomorrow and see if there are some good lines in one spot. Since it is low it should be fairly sheltered from the wind. We can make it very tough with some forced lines if we want.

ok guys i say we go ahead and have the comp at hobby town. there is supposed to be rain and cloudyness from thursday to sunday. so just to avoid the weather blues lets stick with the original plan, as posted in the first post. and john save that spot for some nice sunny days.

Or we could play it by ear, go for the new loccal, and use HT as the back up local.

I went w/ Johnrob to scout the new local and I think it is great, some sweet lines, new territory, and the location is great. Close to parking, playground, food/drinks, ect.... Plus there are several different areas that we could use for different comps."thumbsup" But, your the man Ross, if you say HT, then that's cool w/ me.

i dont necessarily trust the weather man, but mike at HT is begining to doubt the whole indoor thing, so i think we need to use it to keep him happy. i understand that you guys want to use the new locations to mix it up, but you gotta understand where im coming from. so i still think we stay at hobby town this time and move outdoors next time.


and its horrible the BL wants to come play ( i mean kick our butts) but were all here to have fun.

Thats all you had to say mang! I will always defer to outside crawling vs inside with nice weather, so lets have the official meeting at HT and I will just go crawl at the new spot for fun with gates there too :lol: Matter of fact I am going out there this afternoon for a bit to check out some lines with more of a battery charge.

Ross SUCKS at course set up, that it all!:lol:

Had an absolute blast today on the indoor course, for the first time on the rocks my GC-1 and my 35T Warrior w/ 3C lipo power from Holmes Hobbies did really well, can wait to hit up our new local next time.

And the IMEX RUBI's rocked today!:-P

I'll have some pics up n a while, my damn batteries died so I didn't get every ones run. Next time I'll bring the extra battery.

I suck do I......i guess all those high scores were just bad luck then. well im sorry guys, if i won and the course sucked....lol....johnrob and dez are going to have a great course for next time, that they will be finishing 1,2 in. right fellas.

Hey guys I would like to thank everyone that was at HobbyTown today for making my comp debut as easy as possible.Everyone was very helpful and I picked up alot of tips and ideas about driving and what I need to do to my rig.I am looking forward to the next comp and getting outdoors on some real rocks.Here are some pics from the comp I took.

The axles looked like they worked great,the only problem is John needed more motor,LOL j/k when he went to diggin hard he about shook the course apart!

i dont know lee i put up a pretty strong performance this week, and i dont plan on letting off at all. especial since i finally got my crawler working to a point i want. see you next time.

Im hopin to put in a better showing next comp also,just ordered a VF dig set up,TCS Boomerang link mounts and split batt. pack and plates for the front axle.I just gotta tell the wife somehow,shhhhhhhhh.....................

no i dont think a small sticker will do it. ill get you a blanket sized logo printed that way you can go wrap yourself in it and hide when i lay the smackdown on your supposed "domination tour".
