The losi (http://www.losi.com/Products/Features.aspx?ProdId=LOSA5082) shocks are very good from what I've heard.

Traxxas Big Bores. They sell them in a set of four at RCPcrawlers.com. As for oil thats for you decide while testing your truck.

Hey man, I just got me a set from JP Customs

http://www.jpcustomrcs.atomicshops.com/Shocks.html

I went with 90MM but that is about 1.2" shorter than stock, so if you want stock but a little lower go with 100 or 110MM..

They are aluminum, fully threaded bodies, and come with 2 sets of springs. Blue and red, red is the soft and blue is hard. Internals are of delrin I believe.

REALLY smooth shocks, I love them! You can see pics of them in my AX10 build in my sig

traxxas big bores are worth every penny, and there perfect for your ax-10. I use them with 20wt oil all the way around and losi whites in the front and losi yellows in the rear, sorry (springs) they work awesome.

The Losi's XXX rears are about 4" in length if that will work on a AX-10? I bought 4 on ebay ("Losi XXX MF shocks"). Losi is selling them again as well for around $70. They are a very nice shock. "thumbsup"

i just got a set of the Hot Racing shocks, i really like them with teh softer silver springs in them....check em out on TCS, they are as long as stock and are almost perfect i think with some 25 or 30 oil, just my .02, i am however putting the trax big bore ones with losi soft springs (yellow ones) on all 4 corners of my second ax10, they lower it down like almost an inch compared to stock and are really soft, i think it just depends on what you want but either would be a great choice!

I think with a stock axial you want to buy shorter springs because as a newbie all that articulation looks cool and it took me a while to realize I NEEDED to limit the articulation and lower the truck some.

I cannot attest personally because I have not run any. Sounds lame, but I was about to get the Big Bores and was presented with the introduction of a complete Losi set last week. As an avid Losi man, I can say that they have the best shocks around. I have never had a leak, blowout, or any problem with previous Losi's. I could have pieced them together and was about too, but the set came out and I bought them asap. It really depends on what you want lengthwise and what you want to spend.
