View Full Version : wheel extensions
I've got the proline 8 shooters and they sit up against the knuckle right now. :-( Any idea how big of an adapter i need to run? I see crawford has one that is .75" are there others or will this be enough?

had the same problem dont think u need to go out that far.....i found some thicked hexs in my stash..think they are from traxxas....stampede they came in a 4pack 2thick/2thin thick one added 1/8 that was enough
integy just came out with a +15mm/.6"set that includes shaft
hpi has also got a set+25mm/.9" hex hubs that use barrel bolts
I tried the adjustable set, 25mm-35mm, but they are way to wide. like was said, you only need to add about an .125", or shave the knuckle and beadlock down.
looks like i am knuckle shaving. :( those poor rcp's

How much material do you end up having to shave? I'm eyeballing the proline wheels, but really want to run RCP's knuckles. Pics anyone? Thoughts on long term durability if they're shaved?
not much. it doesn't affect their strength at all. i was worried at first but the wheel doesn't completely cover the hex. that extra 1/16" is what i was worried about. I just held the wheel on to see right where it was hitting, pulled it off and then shaved it down with the dremel. .8mm - 1.0mm should be plenty
