Scalers are going to need some work before they are posted. We really screwed up the points

Now for the one issue thats going to come up, Al and Bobby 3rd we given both DNF on course one. After adding up your points you were over 40 which is a DNF. Here is what your scores would of been

Congrats to the Gopher! Wow...we were so close there man! Good driving Blaine...I knew I shoulda copied your line exactly!

The Gopher gnaws its way for a win. The natural Black Jack (Ace Jack) didn't come in and I had to settle for a 2 face card 20...lol 1 point away.

Thanks to Waterford (Bob) for taking the time to get this all posted so neatly and of course so quickly! Looks like you copied the wrong link in for the 2.2 though; Guys you can see them all here: http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll126/xzk7nr

Also 1 last question I see me and The Prez Shrek tied...and I see me in Second. Did I really have a lower 1st round time? I know Gary got through his pretty quick since I was watching him like a hawk...can't recall my time good or bad.

that was an awsome comp guys...very nice turn out

Ok something doesn't add up on the score sheets. You either get a progress point for clearing the gate or you hit the gate for a +10 score but that doesn't seem to be the case here...am I wrong? If you add up the progress marks and gate marks it should equal the total number of gate in that course.

also, I got a DNF on both courses in the 2.2 comp so course 1 score for me will need to be corrected : (

I think all of us should have to learn scoring also not fair for same guys to do it all day and then we will all understand it as well.
but im glad i did not have to do it up and down them rocks

I think scoring should be done by as few drivers as possible to keep a level playing field. Gary might score a bit differently than the next. It sucks but I'd be worried about people whining about using different scorers.

We should of course all understand it.

The old work laptop is doggin today, I fixed the link issue so we should be good.

Thank for point that out the tie. Gary is in second and Jake you are in third. I set up this off the Offical score sheet. Since it doesn't have an overall time slot I didnt record them. Excel did it alphabeticaly since i just aranged them by points. I can add it to these sheets and repost. Or just make sure the next one is up to date.

scoring is crazy hard, I find it easier for someone to yell out the score/happenings and someone else write them down on the sheet. Gary, feel free to ask me to score any time, I just didn't want to step on toes. Understanding how to score is difficult because us all the judgement calls you have to make and when your thinking, watching and writing it's anything but easy.

personally I don't mind who scores me because they better be able to count to 80 cause that's usually my score. haha

Damn upgrade lost all my typing so here it goes again.

rc what' your real name? I the only person who had a DNF writen down on the first course. "thumbsup"

as far as the gate thing goes I put down what I saw on the sheets.

So the rule states
1.10 - Progress bonus: (-1 progress point) will be awarded to drivers for each gate that is cleared by the vehicle during the attempt of a course. The entire vehicle must clear a gate, and not just break the plane of the gate, before progress bonus is awarded. These points are deducted from the total course score. Once a driver has pointed out, no further Progress Points will be awarded. A progress bonus will not be awarded for the start gate or the finish gate.

So that means if we hit the gate we can get a progression point?

how are we gonna fix this? So for example if you have 4 progression points, but 3 gate hits we need to change your progression points to 2. 5 gates total you

If you touch a gate at all you can not get the -1 progression point.

So as Scott/rcracer says the Progression points + gates must always equal gates.

Also didn't we have 6 gates...the finish gate would count right?

Isn't all this new club stuff fun? We'll get it sorted out.

I didn't know the rules stated that you don't count the first or last gates for progress points, that sucks. If any gate is touched it's an automatic +10

as far as fixing the points, since i never made it through all the gates I dont remember how many there were. Since we cant get a progression point on the first and last gates and the most points people had for progression was 4 Im gonna guess that there were 6 gates.

Here are 2 suggestion:
1. We leave it the way it is.

2. Or we subtract the gate total from the progression total. So if your progeresson was 4 but you hit 3 gates you now have a progression total of 1.

Let me know what you guys want to do

Way to go Blaine."thumbsup" I can't believe I didn't finish dead last. Crawling with a tank, starting first, and going blank as soon as I cracked the throttle. Total panic for the first 20 seconds. I knew I was in trouble when I reached in that hat and pulled out the #1 slip. I was like mother****er. But I had a great time. Learned alot and will be more prepaired next time.8)Thanks Gary, can't wait till the next one."thumbsup"
