The last update I saw posted about the comp site was that there was 7 feet of snow there. Since we are now counting down the days until the event what does the event site look like? Do we need to bring snow shoes? What about mud boots?
Got any pics?

Comp site A is still under a couple feet of snow,
So is a couple feet of snow expected to melt and dry out in the next 15 days?
Comp site B is dry and the river is running strong,
That sounds better. Should we tie ropes to our rigs when we are on the courses near the water so they are washed away?

yes, but there may be too much mud on the 1:1 road to get there.
That sounds better. Should we tie ropes to our rigs when we are on the courses near the water so they are washed away?
no I have scale bridges made for the big crossings, you can drive through the small creek crossings.

You better take your fat ass up there and start shoveling now if your going to get it clear in time.

So are you still going to hold the event there? Not to be a party pooper but I don't want to drive 1800 miles to get my car stuck on the way to the event site, then stand around in snow all day.

In May I am usually sitting outside in the evening with shorts and a t-shirt in about 75 to 80 degree weather. We go from -5 degrees in January to 105 degrees in July. I am used to both but dislike the cold much more then the heat.
I hurt to bad in the cold to enjoy it, to many broken bones in my life.

wow those first pics are kinda scary.
in all seriousness, is there anywhere that a sedan on radials needs to worry about?
i assume all the main roads and highways are all clear of snow and ice?
also regaurding the 1.9 and 2.2 scale courses, lets say i come to a spot that is simply unpassable with my rig. is there a penalty i can take to pass that portion and still be able to complete/try the rest of the course. i have no desire to win or even try so points dont matter, but id like to be able to try all of the course. i dont want to drive 1800 miles and be sent packing after gate 1 on every course :(

Ben has commented about bypasses for the water I would assume there is something similar for other gates?

i think he was refereing to an alternate path or bridge for water crossings for those that didnt want to get wet.
i was refering to an obstical that was too tough for my truck.

Cory,
the snow pics were JUST for you.
NO, the roads are clear and you could drive my lowered vw gti right up to the comp site, they are dirt and gravel roads, but nothing bad at all.
secondly, there will be a bypass for the deep water areas as well as, a reposition option, you will have no problem driving ALL of the courses."thumbsup"
Ask anyone who came last year or the year before, you will have a smile on your face ALL weekend.8)

Looks great Ben. "thumbsup"
So for charging, I don't want to walk 200 yards to top off my batteries between courses.
If I bring a wagon to haul a car battery to the comp area will I be able to get said wagon there or is it rugged terrain walking from the cars?
