x2 ,and i didn't overfill in case anyone asks, it might be the added weight of my wheels and the fact that i went with the 2 hole pressure piston in the shock.

not bad, just notice some oil around the shock body and I wipe them off. Tamiya usually makes good shocks, all my touring cars are tamiya and have never had a problem with them. Maybe I'll rebuild them and put a little green slime on the orings and see if that helps.

Mine leaked just a lil' from day one!! But not enough to be alarmed!

If they're leaking from the bottom then seal isn't set right or you may have ripped an O-ring when sliding the shaft threads through the seal. It helps to lube the threads first before slipping them through the O-rings. You can use either a little bit of the oil or better yet just some grease. I usually apply grease to the O-rings when I build shocks. This helps make a better seal. If the shocks are leaking from the top, it's possible the cap isn't tightened all the way or the bladder (if they have them) isn't seated properly. I've had a bladder move on me before and it leaked like crazy. This is assuming you didn't over fill the shocks and bled them properly.

When I build tamiya plastic shocks..

1] I slide the shaft through the shock body

2] oil the shaft at the threaded end

3] slip on 1 O-ring at a time

4] slide on the cap and snug up

5] then I fill with oil, bleed and keep level just below the top

I have had great luck by doing it that way. Putting the o-rings in and being secured before the shaft seems to not always work.

good idea, less way of damaging the orings that way.

mine leak as well with little run time and also been doing shocks up for a long time, i will pull em and see what the prob is but more than likely i am just going to put on traxxas big bores i have laying round here
