Of course its an advantage to some. Some live close, but I can't say the same for myself, if there was a comp spot by me I'd be there very often.

this last minute comp is due to the New changes for Nats as of 5/31. 4 comps must be completed by july 1st so the new rules say in order to qualify for Nats invite.

Mill race park is in Commerce Twp. right on Commerce road, Davisburg is on Davisburg Rd. in Davisburg out by Pheasent run two different spots. Mill race park is strictly for scale runs, no rock piles. And the only reason we are holding a comp is to qualify for National's.

well Guys and Gals I had a great time today was very nice to see all the guys BUT.......and you all new that was coming
1.My problem is yet another rule change in the middle of a comp series
2. if my body is not scale and all looked at it all day why would none in our CLUB approach me and say something before it was time to run it
3. our leader just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing (who is the rule committee in this club it needs to be posted)
4. as many might now know me and Super Bob have issues and have keep these in pms and was hoping there was no issues we could not get over but all said" give him the points" and he was very stuck on no points for Bob Coleman so I chose to leave to avoid any other issues so my scale will stay home no biggie
I would love to see all the score sheets please from this comp can someone please copy them I will pay ya for the copies
I was also told in the past that the points didn't matter to anyone well I guess they really do
I would like to make a public apologize to all that I might have offended and hope some can understand my points I have made here

I would also apologize for few things,
1. Anyone who thinks that they are being singled out or treated unfair.
The same rules apply to everyone.
2. The scores are going to be late due to the fact I still don’t have power.
But they will be done as soon as I get power. My laptop has no battery
left.
3. That this held up the comp for scaler and the supers.
The main thing about scale class and it’s in the rules, all vehicles and drivers should adhere to the “spirit” of a street legal off-road vehicle. So to address Bob's issues.
1.My problem is yet another rule change in the middle of a comp series.
No this is the same rule that has been in place from the beginning. And it is a rule that everyone follows. It is the same rule as your group is/will be using running.
The Scale 4x4 rules clearly states :
• Wheelbase and width is limited only by your body, but it must fit within the body’s fender wells.
If you want to go by scale, a 1:1 4 door Jeep JK's wheelbase is 116 inches so that means in tenth scale its about 11.6 inches. So now that means your wheel base needs to be
11.6 inches and the body needs to have a measurement of 11.6 inch from center to center of each wheel well. Bob the center your tires come no where near your center of the wheel wells.
Now another way to look at it, compare the rigs to one and other. Now when you got your truck the body on it was a 2 door FJ which is about the size of a 2 door Jeep TJ. I’m pretty sure that the TJ wheel base is 90", so that would meant the 4 door jeep is longer than a TJ or FJ. So for the JK body to work it would need to be the same size or bigger than the original. Or you will need to shrink the wheel base of your truck.
Heres a link to what are some guidelines to what scale means:
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105495
2. If my body is not scale and all looked at it all day why would none in our CLUB approach me and say something before it was time to run it
Believe it or not I didn’t really have time to look at really anything at the comp till we started tech. And I bet some people were worried about their own stuff. The only time did check it out on the web to see how the springs were held in place so I could see how I could put them on my scaler. And at that time you still had the FJ body on it. And even if I did look at it or say something at any other time the same reaction would have happened.
And at the same time of you blaming me or any one else did you go thru and read the rules first? Or maybe post up something asking if it was scale or not or what would work best? Some research in the scaler section would of explained how and what you need to a make body work?
And I never said you could not run, all I said was you cant get the body deduction points.
3. our leader just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing (who is the rule committee in this club it needs to be posted)
I didn’t see Gary do that so I can comment on that.
4. as many might now know me and Super Bob have issues and have keep these in pms and was hoping there was no issues we could not get over but all said" give him the points" and he was very stuck on no points for Bob Coleman so I chose to leave to avoid any other issues so my scale will stay home no biggie
Bob the point of scale class is to look scale. Not to just though a bunch of crap on a rig to get deduction points. I had a snorkel on the side of mine that was made out of a ball cup, bent axial link and a link end. I was told it didn’t count. So I got over it and went on. Al did the same thing and his wasn’t aloud either, but he already hit the 25 point max, but if he had not it would not of counted.
I would love to see all the score sheets please from this comp can someone please copy them I will pay ya for the copies
I've got them how much are you paying?
I was also told in the past that the points didn't matter to anyone well I guess they really do
Except for not sorting Gary and Jake by their times in the first comp by time you are the only person to complain about anything related to points. And now every time it does come up it ohhhh Bob against Bob. I’m out for Bob Coleman. I am not. If anyone else showed up with that body that much out of proportion to the chassis I would of said the same thing. You can run but you are not going to get the point deduction. So instead of listening to what everybody said and getting an explanation of the rule you just stormed off. After you left, everyone asked what the rule was, it was explained, and it made sense to everyone.

Bob understand that Twistedcrawlers as you stated is an option. So is MiRCa. What Gary and the others have done is created a conduit through which people can compete in this hobby and get to the nationals. I myself could care less about nationals or a trophy. I would love to have scored GTG's just to hone skills. I would also like to have some theroy and driving classes so we can share what we have learned in the hobby. So I and some of the others have our GTGs and we have fun. We also go to the comps and compete. We all need to step back and look at what were doing. These fights are ruining this hobby. This is why I got out of RC before and I will be sad if I have to leave again because of the same.:-(

It's going to happen guys. When you add in competition to any hobby, it gets drama filled. Rules are therefore a reason and sadly RC Crawling rules are terribly weak compared to any other competitive RC or full size rules.
I'm in it for competition...friends come along as a result, I've met quite a few in Nitro using only races as a meeting ground. I've also met all the MiRCa guys on the basis of competition for me.
GTG's are fun, but I can't justify the mileage to drive to your guy's side of the woods enough. Not at these fuel prices, nor having a job working me as hard as they are with things we have going on.
