Where do you crawl in Quincy? I am new to crawling, (been in RC for 10+ years) and I am finding it hard to find suitable terrain for 2.2's. I,ve heard about Hannibal Rocks at TNT, but I thought it was a 1:1 off-road park? I am interested in entering a comp. to test my rig, But I am currently running 4WS. I'm gonna switch to CKRC's "FT" dig set up soon, so maybe I'll enter the next Hannibal comp. Do you have any info? (time, entry fee, #of classes, # of courses, ect) Any info would be much appreciated.

We practice at upper moorman park in Quincy, around the lake is some good rocks for the 2.2s. Join us tomorrow if you can. The Hannibal Rocks Off Road Parks is for 1:1 rigs but the owners there are very helpful in getting the RC crawling competitions started locally. We have had only one comp so far at Hannibal but it was very successful. (see the Missouri forum) No entry fee at this time other that the spectator fee to get into the park. No payouts just fun. We all ran one class last time but we will probably start splitting the classes up as soon as we have enough entries for the class. July 13th is our next comp, It will probably be at 2:00 We hope to have two or three courses. Drivers are welcome to help set up the courses so it works for everyone.

Sounds great!"thumbsup" I'll try to make it to Moorman this afternoon @ 5. A buddy and I just got into crawlin'. We have found a few decent spots, but I'm dying to run some LONG ascents. We crawl exposed cliffs and shelfs along the Burton creek, most of these spots require a 4x4 4 wheeler to get to. In Hannibal are old limestone caves where we ride called the "Dogpound". This would be an awesome place to crawl/comp. Again the only downside to this terrain is it's not a "park and play" spot. Behind Midwest Flooring & behind the old Shlotsky's deli are about all I've found in town. Neither spot is a good place to gather. Seems like midwest terrain is more suited for a 16"+ super class rig. I'm dreaming of my next build:shock:, An 18" Pimp Cane. OOOHHH YEAH!!!
