After seeing The Jeep Stang Killa SS built Pop up on the RCC home page quite frequently I had to build my own........Thank you to everyone who has built one of these on here because I have used alot of your ideas, now on to the specs.....oh and I also wanted to add that I built this in less than a week.

TXT Axles, Locked with bearings and rubber washer rear steer lockouts
Mig Welded steel frame
3/8" aluminum links
Stock Tamiya 540 w/8t pinion
HS-645MG Servo
XL-5 Speed controller
XS-3 Radio Gear
Nylint Wheels and tires ( inner clod hexes for adapters )
Pede Transfer Case
Maxx Shafts
TXT Tranny mounted Upside down and Backwards for clearance reasons
Unknown threaded aluminum shocks
TXT springs

I am planning on adding some scale accessories and custom bumpers but for know I just wanted to make it functional so tonight I will throw some electronics in it and take it to the SVSC comp tomorrow to play around with.....I will get some outdoor pics then.

Thanks for the Great deal on the TXT. I felt bad for a minute ripping apart a brand new truck......But only for a minute

I may put some clod axles under the TXT Chassis

Wow that is a nice NB body?! I am shocked at the detail. But at that size they should have it looking better than their 1/10. Great build!

That is a lot of rolling! lol Need a vid of that slowed down a bit. Put a driver in it and that would look so real. Man, I think my childish side just came out.

The gears in the stock Pede Tranny didn't hold up to my abuse.....I picked up a set of steel gears from the VXL series trucks so we will see how that works....and while I am at it I may replace the TXT tranny with an Axial tranny and 55T Integy since I have them left over from another build. I will post more pics after the conversion.

That is a very realistic looking big rubi...

Is it possible to get these anywhere anymore? I couldn't find one online anywhere.

Actually looking online, it seems really hard to find much of anything 1:6th that would be good thieving the body off of for a project.... Biggest I could find was a 1:8th four door Wrangler.

heres a link to all the 1/6 bodies newbright makes. (or has made, some are discontinued.) scroll threw the pages to see the different ones, and notice the ones that are still in production. im not gonna make it too easy though, you still have to find a store that sells them"thumbsup"

thanks Phase10...

I picked one up new unused from a user here on the forums...

now the hard work begins. I had successfully fabbed a 'chassis' type plate that will mate to th body and then attach to a Clod torsion stick --- But its not working out. There is so much flex in the stick crawler that the tires (extra-narrowed moab XL's) get hung up on the front bumper and/or fenders. I'm racking my brain and can't come up with how to limit the articulation on the stick.

I'm about ready to abandon the stick and go with a traditional 4-link chassis and unsprung droop with 7inch long REVO aluminum shocks. I just need to source the 4-links and a chassis somewhere's.

I don't think I can come up with anything nearly as 'quality' as Crawlin'4Fun's --- but i'll do my best and post pics once its done.

Love the 1/6th stuff!!! Thanks for the good pics and ideas Crawlin4Fun!
