Made from 6061-T6511 solid bar stock, precision machined
for the best fit possible.
Each FubarCrawlers Lockout kit will include the two lockouts
and 4ea 3x8mm black oxide screws for remounting the knuckles.

ONLY $16.00 shipped, per set!!

Don't really understand what kind of update you are looking for. These are basic parts that will be ready when they are ready. It's not like a complete kit that goes through various stages of development.

Ok everyone, here's the latest update and i apologize for not posting earlier as i was attending the AZ Summer Shootout..

I picked up the lockout blanks from the machine shop already and have begun the second operation. By this time tomorrow i will have quite a few sets completed and fully expect to have all them completed and ready to ship by this weekend, ahead of schedule.

Installation tip: (but not required)
To add to the lockout strength, I have found that if you trim the brass knuckle bushings down to just below the top of the knuckle it allows the mounting screw to clamp down on the knuckle.

I have been test fitting 1 out of 5 (continual QC check) on my rig and keep coming up with the same results. The left one will most likely slide easily into the axle "C" but you'll need to start both knuckle screws before tightening them down. The right one will be tighter going into the "C" but the knuckle will fit easier. They do the job they are designed for and are made to fit the tolerances and differences of the axles (left and right axles tubes are actually different) but please check them before cutting the knuckle arms off. The last thing i want is to leave anyone stranded right before a comp should there be a difference in your tubes!! Also a little locktite goes a long way and is suggested, i use it on the front knuckles too "thumbsup"

I will glady honor and handle all fit issues, if there are any, just let me know.

These lockout fit very tightly. Another .10" of clearance and they wouldn't fit. I believe that they will have no problems holding up to my abuse.

Everyone,
I just got some feedback on these fitting the HR axle/Ax10 knuckle combination and these lockouts will only work with the HR axles if you use the Berg steering knuckles.

The Ax10 knuckles have a different mounting offset which brings the knuckle in closer to the axle "C", same issue i ran into while making Berg CVDs. So long story short, you will either need to trim the lockouts down approximately .057" or give me a bit to release the correct size to use with Ax10 knuckles. "thumbsup"

Didn't want to mislead anyone to think these are one size fits all.

To my existing and new customers, Apologies for not being fully on top of this lately, real life is being a killer right now and not allowing me much free time. Got to keep those Jets flying and defending our Country. "thumbsup"

Heres the latest update on my lockouts:

It seems that "EnRoute" has changed the dimensions on the new run of axles just enough that the original design doesn't fit anymore. You can tell the difference between the two by the "EnRoute" logo on the gear case.

First run axles, black or silver with NO logo.
Newest version, has the "EnRoute" logo/name printed on the side of the case.

So i have the newest ones ready to be released the week of the 13th, they are a few thousandths longer and required a longer flat for the increased "C" area of the axle. These will still be $16.00 a set shipped.

I also have the lockouts availible now for the HR axles that will be running HR or AX10 knuckles, they are also $16.00 shipped. See Rizzo's post here (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137899) "thumbsup"

Now for you OG axle guys, i still have a few of those left and will be selling them off for $12.00 a set, so if you want spares, now's the time to pick them up as this will probably be the last run.

EL1 (Lockouts for newer axles with "EnRoute" printed on the side)

I must say, after MONTHS of abuse my original prototype lockouts are still holding strong. They have maybe one or two degrees of slop in them now, but honestly, my entire rig has accumulated more slop and play than the lockouts :ror:

well that makes sense as to why the set i picked up from you at nats didnt fit right. the ones on my og axles are TIGHT, the same lockouts on the new ones have maybe 4 degrees of play in either direction. i shimmed them to get the play out, but it looks like you figured it out. expect paypal soon

well that makes sense as to why the set i picked up from you at nats didnt fit right. the ones on my og axles are TIGHT, the same lockouts on the new ones have maybe 4 degrees of play in either direction. i shimmed them to get the play out, but it looks like you figured it out. expect paypal soon

Sure do, Here's a little refresher of the types available. Please note which part number you need with the paypal payment or feel free to PM me.

Paypal addy is fubarcrawlers@yahoo.com, all sets are $16.00 ea shipped


EL-1 lockouts will fit the newer style Enroute axles that have the "EnRoute" name printed on the gear case, most of these are sold as axle only kits.
BL-1 lockouts will fit the older style Berg/Newage axles, these will either be plain or have the "NewAge" name printed on the gear case and where sold in kit form with chassis and components.
HL-1 lockouts will fit the Hot Racing axles only, either running the HR or Axial knuckles.

Here is some more info:
EL-1 lockouts will fit the newer style Enroute axles that have the "EnRoute" name printed on the gear case.
BL-1 lockouts will fit the older style Berg axles, That have no name printed on them.
HL-1 lockouts will fit the Hot Racing axles only, either running the HR or Axial knuckles.

It has come to my attention that Newage is now selling axles only, there is an issue with the short side axle that does not allow the lockout to fit properly. I'm working on a solution in the near future.

All lockouts are $16.00 a set shipped, payment can be made to fubarcrawlers@yahoo.com, please list which type you need with payment.
