Just kind of a feeler to see who might be up for a small GTG at Busse this weekend. I need practice and I am rebuilding my super this week so it needs tuned in. Post up if your interested and when would work best... right now Im leaning toward Saturday but not against Sunday.

Has anyone posted up details on that? Last I knew you and Brian were supposed to get with them and find out when they wanted us out there.

Saturday is better for me, but I'm real close to Busse, so if everybody else decides on a time I will try to adjust my schedule. My new Super needs some tuning too "thumbsup"

Since the plan originally was to go to LH on Sunday to build the course...but that seems to be off.....I will hit Busse on Sunday. I already had "Requested the time off" with the wife. So she booked me up pretty good on Saturday. ALSO, the Tribune is showing rain Friday and Saturday....so Sunday looks like the better bet (77deg & Sunny). I am pretty flexible on time as the only thing I do early Sunday is grocery shop. I just want to try out the changes to the rig before the drive to WI. Droop may not be the right setup for me....but I want to try it. (Got it setup last night). Now just waiting on the better shoes to get here.

im up for sunday

xirtic, try a semi droop setup. spring on top and bottom. gets back some GC but keeps the CG lower. im loving mine with MiniT springs top and bottom. if we go sunday, ill let you give it a try.

BTW, are we allowed at Busse any time?

There are really no issues at Busse at anytime for the crawlers. Just make sure to stay off the bike/walk paths other than the time to get to the crawl locations.

The new shoes arrived yesterday....man these vendors are doing some fast order turn around times. McMaster Carr had SAME DAY ship/delivery and Liquid RC got me my shoes in 3 days. I could not wait for ROD ENDS from eBay....so I hit the Schaumburg Hobbytown for them, and foams to cut up. Everybody had what I needed. IT is definitely a change of pace.

I have just over 2" of GC with the full droop...not looking too bad. I will try it this way, and if it needs to go SEMI...I will start to work that way. I just really like the lower stance, improved CG, and the fact that there are no visable springs.

your CG will be lower but I would worry that at Busse you will be dragging belly all the time.

Right now Sunday moring is starting to look best for me to make it out to Busse. Im thinking about 10am @ the new comp location at this point.

whats the word on sunday?

I can do that.....and early is GREAT as then the rest of the day is open. I think Jeff's idea of 10am is pretty good. I am down for that.

still looking at 10am... crossing my fingers my super will be done. Only issue is that tires and rims wont be in till Monday (dang ups) so Im stuck with old short tires and narrow track.

I'm not sure about early Sunday morning but I'll try to make it, what size hex does your Super have Jeff? I have an extra set of Moab XL's mounted on Axial Narrow Beadlocks, 17mm Hex's, I can bring if I make it out.

I need 14mm hex :( not a big deal, Ive actually been thinking the current setup might work better at Busse.

What do you expect from a company that only turns right????

I just came in from testing my super... much better than it was, should be a blast at Busse. Im just going to be a little sad to see all my powder coating get rock rash :( Im only taking 1 battery for each truck, I think that gives me about 1hr 45min on my 2.2 and not sure on the super.

That was allot of fun! I think I figured out some different course layouts that we can discuss before the next comp/ Its fun that some of the obsticles that look impossible end up being nothing because of the massive amout of grip

The EAST side of the bike path was GREAT for 2.2. The WEST sire looked good for SUPER. I am certain that 2 very nice courses can be created in the space allowed. ALSO, the walk to the location is MUCH shorter than the 1st COMP location. Nice find Cedric.

Crazy what a crawler can do on the high traction surfaces.
