Saturday, August 13th (in CT) has been confirmed for the next NERCC crawl. We will be crawling in Shelton and in Waterbury. 35 minute drive between the 2 spots, and maybe a lunch break in-between. The Waterbury location is on a riverbed that is usually almost entirely dry. Unless we get a large amount of rainfall between now and the 13th, it will still be on. Our meetingplace will be at Howard Johnson's on South Main Street in Waterbury at 10:00 AM.

So, anybody up for it?

If I can get my TLT crawler up and running by than I'd really like to join you guys if you don't mind, I just can't seem to find a good setup with bruiser framerails, I don't get anywhere near the amount of articulation I would need. I'll let you know soon.

Well, i will be going. I almost got everything i need for rear stear. And i just got my tlt running properly, but i may need to borrow a pede yoke for 4WD. It'll be a good time. Are we still gonna hit up walcott? My TLT is just begging to muddified.

Bigjay, I'll email directions to you if you need them. The location is right off of Route 8. Good luck with that first crawl, hope you can make it!

And uh, wonderful.... You might want to rethink that. There is going to be 2 shafties running Moabs. They are THE BEST tire ever!!! Period!!! They make even my JUNK stick to rocks!!! Then there is that other shaftie with tires the size of your whole truck. Be afraid. Not even peace and love can save you! Have you forgotten about Craig's Clod? Oh ya, he's running big tires too!

mrwonderful
08-02-2005, 04:11 PM
oh, yeah. I forgot about craig. Then maybe i'll have to get the "Stick" and some moabs for myself! Then there will be no stopping the clod!

Just got back.. everything works so I'll be there. If someone could PM me directions from one of the major highways I can find my way. I ride MTB up there a few times a year. Looking forward to it.

I could say the same about txt's. Oh snap! you got served!

fullmodtxt
08-03-2005, 06:29 AM
Wonderful, only one getting served around here is a little white truck named "peace and love". The server is a TXT with Pro-Line Moabs!!! Your truck can't compete untill you run those tires. The crawl is on the 13th, so you have plenty of time to get the apropriate competition tires.

mrwonderful
08-03-2005, 03:35 PM
I dont need them stinkin moabs. I'll just use my superior driving skills to beat you! Remember who didn't make it up that steep face at Ft Phoenix? It was you!

fullmodtxt
08-04-2005, 07:09 AM
Yep, that was before the Moabs!!!!!!! My truck will crawl upside-down now!! Know what the most effective cure for bad driving is??? Ha??? Yep, that's right, CLODS!! Wonderful, you had better get yourself some big tires if you want to keep up at all on the 13th. There is stuff out here that will swallow your truck, and then swallow you when you go in to chase it!

mrwonderful
08-04-2005, 03:00 PM
Well, its a good thing that rich is gonna lend me his Savage tires for next week. I may just hide in these holes, and then jump up and grab your truck when it gets near. Hmmm, yeah. Thats what i'll do. And then after i have your truck, i'll return to my hole, and have my way with it :flipoff:

Wonderful, we'll see how the day goes for Wolcott. If we met there, it would shorten up the drive for you, Craig, and Kona. Just have to see if Trac95 is cool with going to Wolcott. I have steel 'pede yokes if you still need them by then.

Jim, we don't mind. I'll bring my TL-Bruiser.
where will you guys be meeting in wolcott?

and if anyone needs parts wolcott hobby shop is great! (and i think its the closest to waterbury)

Can we get a frequency check ahead of time please? Just to be safe instead of sorry.

I'm on 69 FM.

BigJay
08-11-2005, 07:29 AM
I'm on channel 2, Red, 27.045.. however you want to say it. I also have channel 69 and 75 for my other radios, I'd be happy to bring those crystals if someone else needs to use them.

So I just looked up the channel for my TQ3 because all I knew was the freq. There's only SIX possible channels for this radio?(27mhz) wow that sucks.

I got yellow for my TQ3 and 72 for the TLT.

Nice media... I had a good time in spite of my transmissions blowing up in under an hour. I just put some metal gears in, so it's not going to be a problem again.

Looking forward to doing it again sometime.

Thanx for getting that footage edited and posted Wonderful. We need some vid of your truck on the rocks next time, instead of doing donuts! Nice work for your first vid, especially since it was shot with a stills camera! Speaking of stills, get that hippie outta the pics! He ruined an otherwise fine photo gallery! Where's that f*n soap?????
