Tell me about it. Got Laid off notice in fall of 2004, took an early retirement instead to keep some benefits. Good idea because I'm still looking for the next job, can only find part-time work just to keep afloat.

On another note. I will request the day off just to be with the crawlers and show you that an old dog can learn new tricks. Dig it!

Addicted, if you need an esc or motor for the comp let me know... they arent mamba's but I have an xl5, tazer, duratrax something and a couple more in the box. I also have that extra 55t on the way.

I actually had to sell off my 1:1 project at a pretty substantial loss to be able to keep going with the RC otherwise I would be cut off.

If needed, I always keep a XL5 and a Novak 55t in my bag....Just in case.

Yea I have an esc and motor handy (thanks Bubba) It's the driveshafts and alum outputs I still need to complete the crawler. If my truggy sells, I'll be there If not well, who knows. I know I want to go lol. My biggest problem Is dumping this truggy. It's no piece by anymeans but It looks like the truggy market is dyeing:x

"thumbsup"Thanks man for the offer
I actually have a brand new trans now. I would like to get some stampede shafts and sttel outputs so I can make sure everything works before I show up lol. I built a new crawler outta my junk I had so it has zero run time and tweaking on it yet. I need to get it all together so I can even see if it works first lol. I'm gonna keep dropping the price on my stuff till it sells. I'll just cut my losses and run so I can get this thing ready.

Edit, the yokes I have are the steel Axial...if they will work for you, you can have them...anyone else wants them they are 1 million dolllllarssss

We need more Supers, anybody even considering building a Super? I may have some extra parts laying around, that I could be persuaded to donate to a build ;-) I also have some extra parts avail for trade etc.

jetboat
08-13-2008, 08:42 AM
my super may be out... the gears in the rear diff are basically gone and Im not sure that I want to dump more money into it when I plan to build the clod stick this winter.

Ced RC
08-13-2008, 09:16 AM
That sucks!

I'm gonna be the Lone Super.........

Almost makes me want to sell mine to fund a 2.2 Berg build, but I sure like the capability of the Super Rig, it's just cool as hell to have dual ESC's and dual steering, but it's not much fun running by yourself!

I could actually use axial yokes. I Have a brand new axial trans in it now. Those would work. I actually have a bite on my truggy on here so I'll let you know. If it sells I'm in.

I think most guys in the club are more than willing to help out a fellow competitor to keep them going. Its part of what makes the sport good.

Back to business... "Course Committee" dont forget to be there at 11:30am so we can get set up. Or should I just say, Zach, be there at 11:30AM since the others of us seem to make it on time :-P

I'm really looking forward to this comp, I hope we have a larger turnout.

Whats wrong with your car, mayeb you can get it fixed in time to make it...still long time before Sat at 1. all is definatly not lost yet. I would post up over in the WI area seeing is anyone is coming down, they might be able to swing by, especially if your willing to put some gas in their tank. If nothing else, theres another comp in 3 weeks and we might have a GTG between then and now

i thought it was today!!!!!! oh geez that means that i have a chance to go, now i just need to find a ride, my sponsor is Grayslake Hobby World, i told them that i was new to rock crawling and that they should give me the truck for super freaking cheap and some electronics and i would splatter their name on the truck, so that is what happened, no one was buying the kit they had so i got the truck and a duratrax intellispeed DTXM1065 and a hitec metal geared hi tourque all for 220 out the door, including the AX10. so now all i need it s a nice motor, i have a stock wheelie king 27T in it now, i am thinking about a 55t b/c i heard they were effecient.

08-28-2008, 12:04 PM

Fire Dept Sponsorship! Ha! :lol::lol:

RCSLOT may be looking to sponsor a driver to join me next year at some national level events? That is assuming my performance justifies me attending national level events 8)

I definitely plan to attend the Indoor Midwest Challenge next year.

Can't wait till tomorrow! Strange that we haven't seen our weather forecaster post up predictions of rain yet?

Great day and nice tricky courses.

My luck is still do OK on the first course and then blow the second. At least the damage wasn't as severe as diagnosed. The diff pinion gear is worn and that caused it to slip when using the dig. I just shimmed it forward and it seems to be fine for now until I get the new gear set.

Believe it or not, I was fine the next morning....NO REDNESS. I got a good burn earlier in the season, so I think that the redness was just too much sun at once more than a deep burn. That sucks with a rough collar on a shirt hitting a burned neck....that is like an itch that you cannot scratch.

Will hopefully be getting more sun today....and NO burn. LOL.
