Hi All,
Well, we are getting close to the Mini Rock Crawler shipping to the public (approx end of August). In the mean time a couple of our team drivers have received the first production samples and some others will have them in the next day or two. I've asked them to keep them stock for now and run the heck of of them before they start modifying them.

I'd like use this thread to have the team guys and myself available for questions and setup tips, etc.

I'm really looking forward to everyone getting their hands on these and I will do my best to answer your questions.
Thanks for the support,
Rich

Woohoo I got mine.

I wheeled it all day yesterday on my terrain. What a blast! I am very impresed with it's capability right out of the box. Even with the battery up high it still works great. I can't wait to get the green light to start modding. I have some really easy mods I think will increase the performance level that most of you can probably do without needing to buy anything extra. Annie said it best:

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be a Mini Losi Crawler!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the Gates,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh, I GOT MY CRAWLER!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

Bring it to me Annie my sweet Fed-Ex driver.

That's funny, I already have plenty of 1/10th scale rigs. ;-)

What is really cool is, I now have twice as much terrain to play with in the same amount of space. The rock course I have is going to get some more changes made soon, Tunnels, arches, everything... is much easier to create in a smaller scale.

I'm loving mine!

Wheeled it all weekend at cougar buttes on one battery pack  It performs great as a stock truck, and like Brian said, there is a few neat little upgrades that'll make this thing extremely capable.

All you lucky people.
All you lucky sponsored people.
All you lucky sponsored people with money.
All you lucky sponsored people with money trees.

LOL, yes that was all about jealousy - I can admit it. Maybe when I sell my dog this fall I can get one. Ha, then I will be single too! Then I will have money again.

Looks like a great product from my fav r/c Manufacturer.

It is true. I love him, and I love the woman as well. But he is expendable for the hobby. She isn't expendable but I would be if I sold the dog. Ergo I inadvertently become single and thus have more money for what I love. That makes sense because Losi is my fav manufacturer of R/C. When I am cold on the long winter nights I will have a Losi crawler to cuddle with.

man i cant wait!

ive been looking at a couple of pix of it ant it looks like the upper links and steering links are made of plastic. are aluminum or steel links going to be available for the mini crawler?

another thing i noticed from the pix is that the lower links look like they are turn buckles. do you guys who already have their crawlers notice if they tend to get hung up?

are bent lower links going to be available?

what size links are being used? as in outside diameter and size of the screw connecting the rod and rod end

what's its stock weight?

are the mini rock claws using the same compound as the 2.2 rock claws or are they softer?

can one of you guys take a pic of the stock mini crawler at its maximum vertical and horizontal angle before it falls over?

whats the turning radius?

sorry for all the questions (not going to be laast of them though) but i just want to be ready and know know what to expect when i finally get one of these lil guys in my hands

I'm very interested in what happens with this little truck I would be delighted to see a these little guys competed either in a box stock or open class. I currently have a 2.2 shafty and a 1.9 scaler under construction but I'm unsure if I want to make the transition to a shaftless rig. I'm fine with my 2.2 shaft rig at this point, so this has become a interesting new possibility for me rather adding a second 2.2 rig at this point in time.

It would also open new crawl spots that curently aren't very challenging for a 2.2 not to mention indoor opportunities on man made crawl courses.

I ordered two.I am curious what are the ideas for a spec class? Tires, battery and location, suspension links, body, motor, esc, servo should be spec'd? I would be very interested in creating a spec class also. What would be fair to tamper with?Shocks are a given.Tire foam? I ran in a stock slider class last winter and the rules got diluted very quickly,so im hesitant to allow much, but its in everyones nature to modify!Let me know your thoughts!

One other question, since it's a spektrum setup with the tx/rx... is it possible to bind the rx with a DX3R?? Just wondering, cause I just like having one remote to keep up with.. and I have a hard enough time with that..

I know that with the Losi late models you could bind to 3r,so I dont see why you would not be able to bind the mini crawler rx to you 3r. Now this is assuming Losi is still using the same spektrum rx that they have been using in there Late model and a couple others...

I say the spec class should be all PARTS must be stock except the batt. and mounting loc..You can still change shock oil spring rates link loc. and weight to tires but it must be stock parts...no aftermarket stuff for a spec class...I think this would be a cheap fun drivers class and attract more people to the sport..."thumbsup"

SThese are not Blue or White compound. It is a "kit' compound. I have been told that they work pretty good compared to other 1.9 tires currently out on the market.

The ESC will hold up to 7.4 volts. We revised the programing to have a ton of drag brake and no pause between forward and reverse. It's works really well in the MRC and I think most will be impressed with the drag brake it does have.

Sorry that I don't have specific details.
