it looks very capable how much room is there on the front axle for a batery or somthing?

with the stock body, not much. with a body that's a bit more scale (longer, all the way out to the front tires, like the front of a truck?), there'd be plenty.

I would think that the Max Amps 2S 860mAH Lipo would fit nicely on the servo...the front tri-link looks like a sweet spot also.

http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=Lipo-860-74-Pack&cat=82

They also have an 1100 mAH...a bit larger, but more run time:

Or, just reduce the stock placement weight with the Dynamite 1900 mAH Lipo:

Just watch your run times, or install an external voltage cut off.

put the battery on the back servo plate, lowered the body, limited the travel a bit, skinny wheel spacers (just enuf to make the nut flush with the axle end)and added weight to the front tires...lots more stable, sidehills like a champ...

since i have a couple old mini t batteries, i have an idea...chop one up, put 3 cells on the front and 3 cells on the back upper link (on a plate). or maybe 4/2? still needs more front weight, i think...i'm trying to keep my mods down until one of these companies comes up with some real parts. i don't wanna build this 4 times, or see someone elses's simple mod that i didn't think of :).

ps, don't say switch to lipos, i ain't switching just yet. :)

I did the 3 in front and 3 on back, it works great

just tinkering...old body, maybe clean it up, bob the bed, ditch the rear radiator and make a yota/mrc? or frankenstein it into a mrc rear axle/ifs prerunner on 1.9s, like one of my other teflon (search for that, if you're curious) builds...

hmmmm....

i need driveshafts! pics make it look a little taller and skinnier than it is in person, kinda looks like a mud truck with stock width yota axles on 44's....yet i like it. l trail is causing me a headache. it's too flexy for the frame mounted steering. when the servo pushes, the frame shifts more than the tires. looks like i gotta make some sort of bracing for it. the gaping hole in the bed will be covered soon, sorta making a black lexan tonneau cover for the back. prolly gonna make a similar piece to cover the back window area.

Nice find. I'm not sure how much of a MRC is left, though.
