I really need some help with this problem. I built a drooper widow chassis to replace my old low profile version, but now I have about .5 inches:shock: of clearance with a droop setup:roll: My question to you is "How can I get a higher ground clearance without drastically changing how the rig handles?" Here are a few pictures of the rig just to show you what i'm up against. As always, all help is greatly appreciated"thumbsup"

Here's why i'm skeptical of going to a sprung setup8)

How long are those shocks? They look pretty short...

the only way to get your ride height up is to make your shocks longer, I would go back to a sprung/semi-droop style shock. Otherwise, if your set on using the shocks set-up like that, you will have to have a shorter wheelbase

any good places to get cheap shocks like this.

To answer themerc's question, these are aftermarket tmaxx shocks.

id turn the lower links round as well so the bent part is at the axle end i had same set up on mine an cog was real low so turned em round an it lifted it up

might not be that tho just a thought

Go with some longer shocks.
Other than that, it looks good

I think it could be either short shocks or not having straight links. On my old chassis I ran a droop setup with wk shocks that had internal and external limiting via tubing and I had straight links with about a 12 1/4" wb. Heres what it looked like with that setup and it crawled great.

First...make sure you're not longer than a 12.5" wheelbase. If you are good at 12.5", then your shocks are too short.

Having the links straight or bent makes no difference.
