Is this a good charger for a newbie like me who doesn't know much about NiMh batteries? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWL89&P=7

I've got one of these, and i'm new to electric junk. I went with nimh receiver packs for my nitro stuff and need a charger that would work with 'em. I got mine for $24.99 from tower hobbies. If you join the're 'super saver' club you can get cheap stuff from the scratch and dent section. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUF43&P=7

I have a couple MRC Super Brain 959's, which are by far one of the best "bang for your buck" chargers. Strangely though, one of them had something explode inside of it last weekend, now it doesn't work.....possibly a capacitor? Whatever, MRC will probalby fix it anyway. They're only $50, but have $100 charger features. :)

i use a turbo 35gfx and pulsar comp but there more for racing but w/e they chager packs really well but i think if you want to spring some extra cash go for the quasar its a great ac dc charge and really reliable now but then again on the other hand you could probably almost buy 2 tritons for the price of 1 quasar so yeh i guess after writing all this crap go with the triton lol :flipoff: :flipoff:

I have the Integy and MRC Super Brain 969. I actually just gave the Super Brain 969 away becuase it does not charge up to 6 amps.
Integy is my favorite chargers, the Super Brains are really hard to beat though, the 969 did a great job of not false peaking any of different kinds of packs.
That Novak is nice because you can charge at .5 1.0, and 4 amps. But I personally like to charge my 6cell stick packs at 6 amps to give me more punch.
You deffinitly want a charger that can do at least 1.0 and 4.0 amp charge rates. 1.0 for your reciever batteries and 4 for your 6/7 cell packs.

I use a Pirana Digital peak charger. It charges upto 3 amps on AC and upto 5 amps DC. Its a good charger for $50 bucks. Plus its real compact and you can take it with you to the field.

I have a superbrain 969. But the power supply just went out (can still be used with DC). Other than that Im happy with it. I also have the superbrain 809? That one worked good for me back when I didnt have good batteries.
