The fronts (Blue) are the Duratrax, the rears are 2.2s that I bent to match the fronts. I in boarded the uppers for better articulation. and I raised the upper shock mounts.

actually I fabricated them out of the same steel you see holding the upper links

There just mock up for now, as I will build hoops, I will also incorporate the upper links in the hoop mounts. You know how this hobby is all about building and tearing apart and re building.

I think mine comes apart after every outing, I noticed the axle housings get full of crap so I try to clean them out often. + with the new motors and steel gears I want to make sure the main gear is not stripping out.
Cant wait for a steal main gear!

with all the axial links mine ended up at 12in. have u had any problems with the truck getting hung up on the diff housings? i did so i flipped the most outter screw on the suspension linkage mount b. so the philips head is on the bottom in the reccessd hole for the nut

I am using 440 rod and bolts for the inbound upper links for the mock up, so I have about 1/8 of these ends hanging. I have not hung up since the new tires the new tires gave me about 1/2 inch more clearance.

My buddy has the Hammers on his Ax. So I got these and we can test which ones we like best. Mine are the Flat Irons M3 with Memory.
So far they work very well, but the seem to wear faster then my Moabs.

They are strong motors but they have to much stall, the colbalts have no stall but be prepared to change dog bones every outing. I ordered the CVDs but they will not be in till DEC.
I recommend not buying the new motors until you upgrade to CVDs and metal gears.

thanks for the heads up of when they come out. i guess i should wait. but just a little more power and it would be tits. i still havent made that cut-off box yet im gonna do that first that should help right:?: so i can have both front and rear dig

vltchkr
11-11-2008, 10:45 PM
The front and rear dig is good to have, but my thinking is if you dig the front your just pushing and if your on slick or sandy rock you would just push out,
I like the rear dig for popping up or coming down steep cliffs. The Mambas brake works great too.

The fishing could be due to the tires with no weight. What ESC are you running again? On my super I had 2 ESC with a 7 channel stick and I was thinking about getting a second Mamba for total front and rear control on the CC. I have 2 bids on wider and taller chassis so I will have the room. BTW what batteries are you running?

Have you thought about Lipo? I bought an 11.1 3200MaH 3 cell and that really livened up the stock motors.
Here is the link to the newest version of the Castle Software

Well if its burnt you would smell it. Maybe the battery pack you used is dead? plug it into you computer it might of lost its setting and went to default which I believe is brushless motors.

The droop on the shocks work very well, but I think the shock bodies are a little big. Even though I am drooped I have the shocks in a sprung orientation and that seems to work well, plus the body covers the huge shock bodies:) When you purchase these shocks they are set up sprung. Pull those springs and use the lighter springs between the 2 white valves, 1 nut will pull this apart.
