The Duratrax aluminum links seem to break rather easily in a tumble. I have broken 2 "A"-links and 1 "B" link on 3 separate occasions after my truck took a tumble off the rocks. They are breaking at the treads. I have since gone back to the stock links until I find suitable links with threaded ends for studs or I decide to increase my wheelbase and use Intergty links.

Dip the threads in gorilla glue then thread on the ends. It gives the links about 50% more rigidity.

I wondered if those links from Crawford Performance are drilled and tapped with screw in studs or if the link is necked down then threaded, that is the weak "link" with the Duratrax units.

All of our link sets feature drilled and tapped links with #6-32 threaded studs.
Too many of the machined "tapped" links actually create stress points and will break at the base of the machined threaded area.

Good to know. Wish I would have waited for the Crawfords now.
