Reposition: (10 pts) points are given when a driver must reposition their vehicle in order to continue. Repositions are placed back on the course without making forward progress. Judges reposition the vehicle.

Fish you say judges do the reposition?

As a judge I dont want the responsability of repositioning another dirvers truck. I only want the responsabilty of directing the driver as to a legal or illegal reposision.

If as a judge I make only one bad reposision in a day...and seeing as how we drive in the classes that we judge this adds a level of difficulty to running a clean and fair comp.

Bottom line if I am the one driving I want to make the good or bad reposision, and If I step up and bear the load of judging at a comp I dont want to feel resposible for a failed gate or added points because I didn't place someones truck optimally.

Judges should determine whether or not the driver's choice of a reposistion location is good or not.

As long as it's not past the point of progress made...should be cool.

You have to keep in mind that (at events in the SouthEast, anyway) there's usually a group of people watching the driver and calling penalties...not just one person. So instead of a single person being responsible (and blamed) for things, it's a general consensus.

This also helps everyone involved get more familiar with the rules. ;)

Its usually done with a conscious between the driver and judge, so you/judges should not bear any responsilbity for failure.
