WoW!!! That is one bad mofo, how much torque done it need from a servo to shift? (total newb on more the 1 speed transmission) I was thinking if a small servo like the hitec 225 would be enough or would it need a stronger standard servo? Looks great!

Looks very nice. Is there any gear down from this,or is the input and output 1:1

this is a 1:1 ratio
the 3mm shift rod moves quite easy by hand. After testing we will have a better Idea. So far I have only ran it under load with a high speed cordless drill to test on the fly shifting. engagement is every 120 degree's of revolution

Price estimate?
I havn't totaled up everything yet. Lots of internal parts in this case.
I'm shooting for $150. maybe less(this is just a guess) It will depend on interest. Im guessing start up runs of 10 to 15 assembly's

If you do good marketing-price you easely sell more than that for sure;-) somewhere in the 20/30 range.

Nice! I was hoping for a little gear down honestly,so we could just hook a motor up direct drive. Maybe a 65t or 75t would do the trick for direct drive.
One of these would look awefully sweet in the scale Toyota we are fixing to start on. I'll keep my eye on this for sure.

That is one nice piece of metal.
I am glad you went with a 3 gear setup rather than the first 2 gear unit "thumbsup"
The shifting is very cool too.

That is too freaking cool! I would love to get one!
Just to clarify one thing, which outputs are for the driveshafts? Is it like the real thing where the front is the offset output or are the fr/rr down the center?
Great work!"thumbsup"

WOW!!! That is an amazing piece of work there. Do the shafts slide like a VF dig, or are the selections internal without shaft movement? Did that make sense?
WIsh I would have known as I just bought one of the other kind. Damn, I might have to sell that one for this?! lol
Excellent design by the way. I love the way it looks and can't wait ti hear how they perform as well.

Thanks for the interest, Its been a long road building this. as for now 5mm shafts are used. I suppose you could use a bushing to get to 6mm. It works with the imput from your tranny and output to the front. single output to the rear. your option if you want 2wd front or 2wd to the rear. It uses a shifting fork to engage for 4wd. Thats the most important to test. I want to be sure it holds up. worst case is I'll have to use different material if the shift mechanism begins to cause problems. As of yet It's working well. Also note your servo can attach at the front or rear of t-case

That sounds great! This will be on my next build!
I'm astounded by the looks and features it has. I'm goint to see if I can get one $$ allowing. Wouldnt it be cool to hook this up to your 3 speed rig and have a 3 speed 2WD and 4WD. I think I may hook it up in a way that 1st and 2nd gear are 4WD and 3rd is 2WD.

Sorry for the delay's guy's
I got a little backed up with things.
I will have around 8-10 of these units for sale and I'm undecided if there will be a second go around. These turned out to be very time consuming so the price may go up a bit. I'll try and keep everyone informed
thanks for your patience .
Transmission is still in the phototype stage, more machining to go yet. And to let you all know there may be a scale chassis to mount these goodies in.

getting close guys
one problem I see is demand and production. currently working on the SS chasis, trany, t-case,things are slow as I am a lone wolf making the parts, so bear with me please. I am hoping for 10 unit's but not written in stone. I havr a large amount of prototyping to do for the end goal so I will need a little paitance from everyone

Not all vehicles have a "married" setup.
It would be nice if it could be either way, I'd prefer married though. Honestly I think most would too given a trans and t-case like these, the divorced setup is just the easiest to do given what there is to work with right now.

I would def be interested in one of these. Sorry to hear its so time consuming to build though. It is a work of art though and would be killer in one of my upcoming projects. Let me know if you'll have one available. Keep up the great work that trans is sweet too wouldn't mind one of those as well."thumbsup"
