So I was hooked on RC Crawlers ever since they first started making an appearence but never really had my own . My Son has one so I kinda built his a little and drove it whenever he'd let me :D . Well I guess my wife felt sorry for me because she bought me one for Christmas , so I finally have my own :D . She bought me a RTR kit , here's what it looked like :

Here's what it looks like so far . I've only done a few minor changes , I don't wanna dump a ton of money that I don't have into this . So far all I've done is changed the lower links to the steel bent ones from STC I believe is the name of the company , changed the coils on the shocks to some softer ones from Associated , got some URL beadlock rings , changed the body and got some Hot Bodies tires and added weights and memory foams . Other than that it's pretty much stock , it works well for what it is and it's a blast .

Thanx man . That group isn't the group I normally wheel with , those were some friends from work . The group I wheel with you usually hangs out at RCP on Friday nights . Never really had a comp , just kinda play around at our club meetings . A couple of the guys in our group have digs and all that other shizz .

There's another spot close to there that I like a little better though . Hit me up one of these days , we usually go to RCP on Friday nights and that course is bad ass and it's indoors . It's in Upland , a little closer to you than Hemet . Look at my Son's build and you can see pics of that place . All of those pics are taken there (RCP) .

That’s really good, looks just like the real one. You have your self a cover truck very nice My friends is modeled off of his real rock crawler too, Ill take a picture tomorrow and show you. He drives a matrix buggy by twisted customs, something like that.

It's cool that you and your son have something to do together that you both really enjoy. I am planning on buying my son a crawler for his birthday in March, he really likes mine and said he wants one just like it.

Could you school this noob on your body mount setup. It looks good, I like the flush aspect. Maybe a body off shot to, if it isn't too much of a PITA ?;-)

No worries at all man , I actually copied the idea from a buddy of mine . They're just alan head bolts and I threaded the chassis so that they would screw in .

Great idea the stock body post get hung up on every thing. The only problem I see is that it must take you awile to get the body off. Not a big deal though.

Yeah it is kind of a PITA because I have to unscrew the bolts if I need to work on it .
