Ok I know they are mentioned in other threads off and on but I am wondering if everyone agrees that the Cobalt motors are the way to go, money and performance wise. Do they really completely eliminate clod stall ? can you slow them down enough to really crawl ? What about the mamba max? Is there a better ESC? Would I have to change from the stock radio? If so what is a good radio without breaking the bank? Will the cobalts work with the stock ESC? Will the stock motors work with the Mamba max? I don't have the money to order all at once. Sorry for all the questions, but I have spent alot of money on my cliff climber and want to spend the rest wisely. I have two nieghbors with scorpions and I still can't keep up with them. I am in the process of stretching the frame right now. Hopefully that will help. Any other info would be helpful and appreciated. Hopefully this will help other newbies also. I also have a 1:1 crawler so I am trying to decide wich to spend money on. Thanks:shock::-P

agreed. with stock motors and tires, i stretched to 12.5" WB and WOW what a difference, also zip tie your batteries on top of the front servo.

Not that I know of. I am having a stretched frame made to extend mine.

what would happen if you ran a cobalt in the rear only? And the stock motor up front. Would it help with clod stall?

The stock ESC won't run the cobalt motors, so you would have to upgrade that and at that point you might as well run 2 cobalts.

i already have a mamba max esc, and just thought it might help with the stall a little bit.

I have heard two cobalts will end the clod stall problem.
