VERY COOL! Although I would like to see the center bolts to be 5 instead of 4. When I first looked at it I instanty thought "Honda" for some reason. But I really like it!

Awesome idea with the weight covers!! Do this to your double phattys! That was the deciding factor between buying your rims and the vanquish ones I did buy. I didnt like the fact I had to remove the entire ring to add/subtract weight. (I HATE ASSEMBLING BEADLOCKS) lol

These look sweet!

We will have four or five different designs on the weight covers. So far all we have posted is the smooth face and spoke look. You can flip them around for a different look but only one side is c'bored for the screws.

Thanks

Dan I noticed you posted your going to be making more weight cover designs.

The first thing that comes to mind is something like your grinder rings. If you could drill some of the holes at the edge (joint where the wieght cover meets the ring) semi circle like, it should let any dirt that gets in get back out.. Might be a good answer for a wet course ?? You could prolly play with the hole spacing to keep a flat area to let the bearing roll smooth! Just an idea!

Not to mention it would prolly look pretty hot with a machine finish wheel, bearings, and a anodized wieght cover!

I'll just sit here quietly now and wait for the next thing your gonna create
and make me buy.

Ok quick question here on these. Do the air holes really help? I've not really noticed any problems with tire bouncing.

If it is a big help what size should I try and how many should I make one or two??

Been wondering this for a litlte bit.

CRAZYACE63
03-04-2009, 05:04 PM
I would think that putting a hole in will help flatten out the tire also. I know on my 2.2 CDP's they hold a fair amount of air when all sealed up. I am probably gonna do this on both sets.

-w-designs
03-04-2009, 06:12 PM
It's just a personal preference.....I like the tire to squat and grip and it does it better if it can breathe. The nice thing about this mod is you can try it and if you don't like it you just put the screw back in and your sealed up again. "thumbsup" I just drilled an 1/8 hole in one spot.....seems to be enuff.

I have had some time to run these wheels and really put them through their paces! I have to say I was really impressed when I got them but I'm even more so now! I've even been running in sand and I've not had any probs with debris getting into the wheel. Great product soo soo glad I waited for them.

Now I'm going to bite the bullet and build a nice little scaler. Hrmm gonna have to take a look and see what set I'm gonna bug you to death about next!!

MAyhem the shirt looks great and these wheels are awesome. I will get some pics of them mounted in the next day or so. With flatirons they are holding the bead perfectly. I use the Losi MRC aluminum hexes and some thin traxxas (1/8"?), to push the width out another 1/4" or so. It really helps with the Flat Irons!

Just one more bump for the new bearing plate designs. I was thinking what about haveing a set that had a biohazard logo on them. Would look good anyway you looked at it.
