The Warrior-R is a lot like the Warrior II's.... But with a small change. We were able to squeeze more RPM's out of them. But with a slight decrease in Torque. Over all a 45T Warrior II will produce more torque, but less RPM. The Warrior-R 45T will produce more RPM's, but less Torque. So if your looking for a slight increase in RPM's but down want to make that huge 5T or 10T Jump to get it. This is your answer right here.
I'd like to add this is a very small change.

99% of them came in. Still lableing and packing them. I plan on getting all of them shipped later today.
We have plentny of 35T Warrior-R's and 45T Warrior-R's being wound now. These will be able to ship a lot faster then the first batch.
Also like to add. We do 35T, 40T, 45T, 50T, 55T, 60T and 65T's... All winds can be done in both the Warrior II and Warrior-R's....

They are awesome! Got mine in this evening."thumbsup"
After a test run, all I got to say is WOW! I have always run 55t's because I like power, but they lacked wheelspeed. The Warrior-R 45t has more power than my 55's plus the wheelspeed is CRAZY! It's 45 turns of hand-wound, axle snappin goodness!

Great! I am using 3 cells. The power is incredible, smooth and silky until you mash on it. Then it is balls to the wall! I have the 45t, Rockcrawler can tell you more about the 35t.

Like I said, its a crapy video that I threw together because it has not been outside yet............but it shows that they are smoothe, fast and have the torque.
I will try to get a little video outside this weekend when I get my new camera. :D
Give it a min to be approved. :|

I've got two rigs that i'm gonna re-power. Right now my SCX has a 55t lathe, kind slow but really smooth of course. The other is a 3spd hilift with 35t lathe, ok but again slow even in top gear. So what do you recommend for a stock SCX-10 and a 3spd hilift?

Love these motors! Enough torque to snap an axle and more than enough wheel speed. :-P
Thanks Jarod. "thumbsup"

I think Jeff was meaning more so on the C rating of your battery rather than the chassis and ESC. All these Pro handwound motors draw more amperage, specially when stalled out and require a better battery. I'd recommend a 25c continuous/50C burst pack. Lesser packs will either swell or not see their estimated cycle life.

They are 1500mah 25c 3s lipos.
Rockcrawler
04-10-2009, 06:55 PM
Yes, was wondering about C rating. Sorry to confuse you.
Sounds like you will be ok with a single motor though. "thumbsup"

What do you recomend for gearing?
Rockcrawler
04-11-2009, 04:33 PM
It has been a while since I have run an axial but I would start with the stock gearing. Depending on how much speed you want, go up to a 16 tooth pinion or down to a 12 or so......just depends on what you want. ;-)

For what it's worth,my sons rig is running a 35t handwound of Johns, the two should be relatively the same in most cases. Personally,I like it with a 16t pinion and stock spur on a 3 cell. I gotta de-tune it a little as my son doesn't know when to let off. His screen name is FULLTHROTTLE if that tells you anything. When he runs it,I put a 14t (stock) pinion in it still running a stock spur. Still running a 3 cell and it's still got enough zip to make front dig work well and bump up ledges nicely.
