This is my first kit and so far the build is FUN. Everything is going together smoothly so far. I'll let the pics do the talking. I've been at it for 2 hours now:

Cool. This will be my first kit also. I hope it goes smooth for me!
Do the parts that are on the parts trees have burs you have to file off or do they just snap off cleanly, just curious?
Guess i'll find out tomorrow!
Oh yeah, I like your checkered lamp!

I just put down 4 more hours...the build was obviously so much fun that I could not stop...
I have to wake up and go to work in 3 hours!
She's a roller now. I just have to wire the motor, install the ESC and RX and build the wheels and it'll be ready to rock. I mocked the MRC wheels and tires up just to get an idea of how it would sit with the Caddy body. 8)

sorry didn't see this until now. glad you like the lamp...stole it from my 11yr old brother
most of the big parts snap off clean, but almost all of the small parts need to be de-burred. I just used a hobby knife to clean them up.

She's RTR now and the body is growing on me because everyone who sees it is hating on it big time. I trimmed it up to fit a little better and I mounted up the Axial wheels and tires. I drove it around my room, crawling over shoes and stuff...it's going to be a blast on the rocks.

What don't you like about the Tower Pro MG995? I know somebody else who got one, maybe i can give them a heads up.

Nothing really wrong with the MG995, its just cheap and well you get what you pay for! I have 2, both work fine but are not used very hard..IE Comp use. Fine for a scale RC...James

Mine is really noisy and takes forever to center itself. I turn the wheels to the right and let go and it slowly jitters itself back to center. It'll work just fine for the scaler but I would never put it in a fast car.
