Since I got my SCX-10 I've been trying to figure out what body to run. I'm not the only one So I grabbed most of the shells I have laying around and took some pics to see what works. The wheelbase is stock

proline C10 would be my first choice

the gravedigger body doesnt look to bad on there...

Stock savage looks rather goofy on there :ror:

Otherwise the Rubi if it can be adjusted.

I see you got your SCX-10, you going to start a build thread?

The stock TXT body seems to fit the wheelbase

I just threw these up so others can get an idea of what bodies would fit

Umm...wow...you sure have a lot of shells laying around!

I didn't bother with the MGT sized Proline F250, stock WK body, Parma Dakota, Wally World JK hardbody or the Golf Cart. And of course the Nylint 6th scale Jeep and Scorpion bodies would have just been silly

hmm, the jeep looks pretty good on there. just stretch it a little.

I'm not using the Rubicon or any other body that requires stretching. Now I may cut down the Hardbody to fit the stock wheelbase

proline C10 would be my first choice

I'm seriously thinking about the C10 but only with tube work8). You almost have to shorten up the Grave Digger body but thats for one of my TXTs. The savage body does look goofy, low roof line and really long bed. The fender are to big on the Rubicon body, might use it on a 2.2 but not this 1.9

I see you got your SCX-10, you going to start a build thread?

I'll start the build thread when it's warm enough braze up some tube work. I've got to out do what I did for Tony. That and decide what body to use. The only one of these I MIGHT use is the C10.

Too bad you didn't have an F-100 or Bronco to try out;-)

does anyone know if the proline f-250 bodies would need a wheelbase strecth or the f-100 thanks

f-100 should be about right, may need a half an inch strecth, but the 250 will more then likely need a strech

1st- C-10 with some fender flares"thumbsup"

2nd- grave robber, just cause it would be a bit different than most.

That Grave Digger would look hot.

I am going to try a Descender on mine when I get one.

I REALLY want to try the Bronco but I don't have one laying around. It's the only one I don't seem to have laying around. I've been wanting to do another one and it would be really close to just drop right on this wheelbase.

1st- C-10 with some fender flares"thumbsup"

2nd- grave robber, just cause it would be a bit different than most.

If the Grave Robber was a little wider I would definately set it up a spare body just to be really different. EVERYONE uses the Jeep bodies which is why I'm staying away from them if I can help it. I might even look at the Scouts before they get too popular

That Grave Digger would look hot.

I am going to try a Descender on mine when I get one.

The fenders on the Grave Digger are too big and flared for my tastes but it would be different

I've had the stock TXT body for about 5 years now, just sitting in the shed. I cut up the spare beyond repair 'experimenting.' Now thanks to you, I have a basher body. With very, very minor trimming, I just mounted it, and will be painting it tomorrow after work. "thumbsup" :)

is the grave digger body that tall or did you have trim off a lil less in the front and sides?

I didn't trim the Grave Digger to the body lines, just the wheel openings. There is about 1/4 inch extra on the sides, 1 1/4 extra on the front and 3/4 more on the back.

It's setting with the side body line about level with the bottom of the chassis. It would trim out to be just slightly smaller than the Suburban body but with a shorter W/B. You wouldn't notice the size difference without having both in hand.

I like the C-10 best as well with your set up. Matches nice!

off topic: How did you post pics without a paying account? I have looked for a way to do it but I am stumped. I don't see a star next to your name is why I ask...

LOL...I was hoping for a way to do it without all that...Thank for the link for sure though.

I don't really understand(maybe I should not understand?) why a forum would make you pay for posting pictures and build pictures that are going to help others. I am a member of 3 other RC forums and it costs nothing to post attatchments.

C-10 - That looks great. I'm partial to Chevys, but it makes a nice scaler body!
Axial RTR - That looks cool. Makes the truck look like a prerunner!
TXT - Would be cool with a different paint job.

C10 hands down but I'll settle for hard bodies for "more" scaler look.

The C-10 is the Maxx sized one. The wheelbase is stock, straight from the box with zero mods.

I don't know but I kinda like the Savage body. The C10 looks sharp as well along with the Grave Digger body. So I think when I pick mine up, just ordered one 5 minutes ago I may pick up one of these bodies.

The Savage body fit the stock chassis well but the proportions just look way off to me. The C-10 looks good to me too but will need a slight stretch to fit or a little creative trimming of the fenders. The Grave Digger but has a shorter wheelbase than truck but it's reserved for a tube chassis monster truck project.

I liked the suburban body. That is cool.

The one is on one of my TXT's. I like it there much more than on the SCX

I just threw those shots up as a reference for everyone. If anyone else has any others post 'em up.
