Wow, these spools are nice and the no slop design is perfect! Here are some pics of my setup:

I'll have some runtime on these spools this weekend, but I can say that the "no slop" design is ingenious....and so simple!

I bought these from Christian two weeks ago along with a cobalt motor. After I installed the motor I broke the outdrives, a dogbone, a Ti pin in the driveshaft, rounded both stock green spools and then used these. After 10+ packs they hold super without the slightest loosening from the screws. Great job Christian. BTW all the parts broke without managing to finish a full pack.

i sent you 80.00 usd and you sent a refund of 9.80 so i think it should have been 13.00 refund....paypal shows 9.80 usd....this is so weird to me....9.80 usd is 13.13 eur, i don't know  ..............bob

if you send $ to the felsenfest paypal account it will be changed to € (euros)
the exchangerate is a little different (higher)
thats what paypal needs for it
for the refund i have to exchange from € to $
same as before , at a higher rate
thats why i will only accept payments in €
i´ve just sent you the rest from my personal account

Man I should have know. Got one set in tonight. Took a bit to do. After I figured out how to tight the shafts it was easy. Need to make sure you don't crank down on one set scew, they need to be tightened evenly.
Thanks very much Egressor these lockers are awsome!

I just discovered that these lockers are designed to be used with the heavy duty gears, not the stock bevel gears.
The stock bevel gears have some pins cast into the ring gear that are designed to fit on the stock plastic locker housing. Those pins need to be ground off (or you should just replace them with the HD gearset.)
Stock gears:

Xplor, they can still be used with the stock gears, just trim that pin off the ring gear and you are good to go. I have been running these in my Axial (that still uses stock rear gears) for a few months now and they are holding up nicely!!

the "little wobble" I was referring to, is because I didn't set the axles in the locker(set screws) completely even. a little impatient on my part. There is no negative effects, yet.
but yeah you're right, dogbones/cups or cvds will have a little play no matter what tho.

That's the reason why Christian drills holes in the axle housing....that way you can hold the shafts in place with the bearings and then tighten the set screw...

for sure, I PMed Egressor asking what the extra silver screws were for... he explained it. I think for now they are straight enough. When/if I replace my axles I'll probably do it the "right way".
I really need to come out to one of the Houston GTGs or comps.... been in AZ lately, but when I get back Ill most likely show up. Keep the vids and pics coming JeremyH- really enjoy them.

i built my axles with the halves open and tightened the set screws in the lockers without the need to drill holes in the housings....just put the axles, bearings and lockers in there loose with the bearing at the axle tube ends and rotate the locker to tighen the set screws....easy to watch for any out of round wobble....my buddy forgot to tighten his set screws with loc-tite and had them come loose on a run, he just took the screws out that he needed to get the one housing half off to get to the set screws....you really don't need the access holes drilled if you don't want to "thumbsup" ................bob

also with lockers and axles in hand out of the housings you can screw the set screws in to just allow the axles flats to fit in the lockers, then adjust them from there to center the axles flats before assembily...............bob

no problem(I support great products)... these are gonna catch on big time. wonder what people are currently using instead of these?
broke a dogbone, took some pics while I was in there, thought I'd share.
heres a pic of ZERO or barely any WEAR(marks are probably from tightening/sliding "flats" into position while installing).
this is like 1.5 months, at least 30 packs--I should've taken pics of the locker.

Great product, but are a pita if you have no patience (ie me). I can get my rear axle running beautifully, but when it come to the front all I can do is swear at it. Not sure I would recommend to a friend, but are still a great product.:|

Sorry if it sounded like I was bashing, but I am not overjoyed with my front axle.

Well, if you persist you will get it right. I got mine sorted with the cases apart, you just need to have a good eye to ensure the axles run true and just tighten them enough so they don't fall out. Then throw them together and using the hole in the case nip them up. SWEET AS!!"thumbsup", now I'm just playing with the suspension setup a bit to get rid of the dredded torque twist.....
