I emailed you guys 1 or 2 days ago regarding the New Complete Tamiya Clodbuster unassembled Axle & Gearcase Kit.
I am looking forward to purchase the kit soon. Before that, may I know what wheel adapter that comes with the kit?
I am thinking to use the HPI Savage wheel. Can you reccomend parts needed to use this wheel??
Also, what other wheel that can fit the stock wheel adapter? Can a wheel designed for 12mm hex fit?

Sorry for the dumb question.

I appreciate your reply.

Thanks

Hi Dexter,

It doesn't really comes with an wheel adaptor, it has a wheel hub to fit stock clod wheels.

If you want to install savage wheel, you have to get the t-maxx wheel adaptor, it's $34.99 for alum one and $44 for plastic one.

We are out of the alum one until 1-2 weeks from now. If earlier, I will post on the forum.

Hi Hua,

Thanks for the infor. I guess I'll have to wait. onw more question.
If I use the wheel adapter that you mentioned, will it make the track wider? will it fit the stock savage wheel without a problem like tire scrubbing the links?

cheers.

the plastic adaptor makes the wheel about 1 1/2 inch wider. the aluminum one dont provide much offset.

Hua,

Please reccomend me the basic parts for me to build my crawler.

Option 1.
I am going to build my own chassis and suspension links.
I want to use the Savage wheels (14m hex).
I want to use the clod axle kit form rc4wd.
I have the MAXX shocks.

Option 2.

My budget is very poor. I only have USD200.00 including shipping to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I appreciate you reply.

Thank you.
