I figured I'd post up my Pajero for the UTRCRC Scale Adventure II
http://utrcrc.freeforums.org/utrcrc-scale-ultimate-cc-01-adventure-ii-t158.html
Just a few little mods. Thanks to PinchFlat, Kaetwo, and JSSuper for mod help. I'm really novice when it comes to these.
Specs
Tekin FX-R
TowardPro MG946 servo
3s Thunder Power lipo
75t hand wound integy motor
One off Create-a-Crawler 1.9 beadlocks Narrowest offset 1.9 out there.
Losi Basher Tires, for now
CS/CC Ball Bearing steering kit. Awesome kit!
Yeah Racing light kit.
Only mods I have done are a bit of grinding for more suspension and steering and 1/8" front body lift.
I had a Pajero before but overall I didn't do much to try to make it perform better and didn't like it. With a few quick mods they are very capable and fun. I was blown away by one of the lines I took with it today.

those tires are supposed to be the same compound as the 2.2 rock claws so they're going to be very grippy...
nice looking paj. unusual color choice but nice change of pace. I like it.

Thanks guys. I think the color turned out really good.
They are the Losi Blue compound. They grip quite well too. They do rub a good amount but its not bad enough to take them off. The front body lift helped them not rub as much.

"CS/CC Ball Bearing steering kit."
Could you please elaborate? I'm not familiar with this. I'm just getting ready to start my Pajero and I want to do it right.
thanks.

JSSuper makes them, kind of. He said its pretty much just for guys in Utah. You could try pm'ing him and see what he says though.
Basically though is a kit that converts steering into a ball bearing system instead of a bushing system that wears out.

Awsome rig Zach. I'll have mine finished up soon and posted as well.
This next Adventure should be a ton of fun and with everyone having he same rigs, it should be very competative.
I can't wait!

while not a kit, here's a How-To converting the steering bellcrank to ball bearings.

It's tricky to get the group to agree on a "one type" of rig but it worked out well for us. We started our Adventure Series for 2009 with a pretty generic class and from there guys where more open to the idea of a more spec type class. Having a more level playing field should be a ton of fun

Nice ride. I like the steering adaptation to bearings...way cool..
on the subject of everyone having the same ride...if they are all different, you can see what works going over different objects..if you all had the same truck, you would be getting stuck on the same thing.

After the rediculous beating Mike and I gave to these Saturday and some not so good chassis mods I had to figure out a new front body mount, because it was no longer there
I came up with this simple idea and it also gives the CC-01 a huge approach angle improvement. I just cut off what was left and took some L channel and bolted it to the front of the chassis. It was really easy to do, I just lined up the bottom of the channel with the line that goes accross the chassis for the proper height. I should have moved the mount out a little in the first place but I had a hard time figuring out how far to go so I just used some spacers afterwards to get it right.

I'm going to put some sort of skid on it to look better but this is what I cut off.
