I am currently out of stock of Bully skids. I do have some unclocked older versions fopr bergs. I will be modifying the berg mold to fit the newer versions. I will be running more of these after the new yr. I will try to get black material but the odds are against it.. grrrr.. To order I would need to order 500 lbs of material..... that would be about a 10 yr supply lol....
I am fairly sure these can be colored with rit..I have also used sharpies with pretty good success also...

Here is where I will introduce myself and promote my prouducts and vendor site... Some of you may have heard/seen the new berg axle skids.
Yes they are a real item now and can be purchased thru my site.

I have made several different prototypes for this part and I think I have a sellable prouduct. The 1st 10 proto's were sent to the Omaha comp for testing..... From those test I made changes according to the feedback I got from the guys who used them.

These skid are made from .060 hi density polyethylene. They are a vacuformed part made to fit a berg axle. I do noy know if the will work on other moa brands.( I dont have any to check them on).

These parts will come rough trimmed as a body would come. It will be up to each owner to trim there parts as needed. (more info on site).


A set of skids will come with (2) skids 1 skid is for nonclocked 1 skid is for a axle clocked 20 degrees. Depending on how you trim the skids It will not effect the fit if you switch them up...clocked unclocked....( for ex: A clocked skid will fit on a unclocked axle).

It looks like these do not work with the stock style servo mount. Is that a correct assumption?

Guys have used them with the stock servo mounts.... ....Tho im sure there are ways to make them fit...

Due to the fact that each guy will mount his servo in a slightly different place, It would be hard to assume what a proper location would be for the mounts....... When in the 1st round of tests guys said that it wasnt much of a big deal. Hopefully some of the testors will pipe of in the thread and possibly add up sopme pics of how the trimmed and mounted.

There are a final set of skids on the eastcoast at a comp this weekend. Hopefully the mail got them there on time... I gave all the 1st testors a free set of updated skids to retest and keep. There is also a set there tobe handed out and a prize.

For this run onlynatural color was avail. Black may be an option in the future. if it is avail locally...Try useing a perm marker to dye them.

As fas fitting over servo mount clamps that I cannot say specifically.
One guy mentioned it but siad he just zip tied them over the clamps, he also said each guy would have them in a different place and trying to make them fit the clamps would add too much bulk in that area...
So I left them out for now.... hopefully the revised parets made it to the testors and they will be able to pipe in how the are working out.

I got a set from Jeff at the Midwest indoor comp a couple weeks ago and they have been working great. I can feel a difference when the axle high centers, as it will now slide rather than stick to the rock. I have been using mine with the stock servo mount. It is zip tied on the outer edge of the axle and I used two of the gear case bolts to attach it closer to the motor. I will try to find some pictures.

He gives you one of each version. 1 for the non-clocked axles and one for 20 degree clocked axles. He notes that the clocked will fit a non clocked, probably just needs a little different trimming.

I have since done a few updates to the site. I have changed the buy it now to offer the option of clocked and unclocked versions. I have also added a gallery to show some of my work .....
I plan on adding a few more items to the shopping list but that will come with time.

I could use some input from you guys on screws... I can offer screws for ex" a 3mmx16mm s/s button head.
What I need from you guys is what sizes are most common/desireable.

And how to offer them. Possibly as a "kit" so many of each to do a basic rig. Or possibly bulk packages of 50 or 100 screws...
I am constantly cleaning out my local shop. I do order screws from a vender however I have cleaned them out also and the wont reorder till there is a sufficient need due to the sizes fall under the radar of the their normal inventory...
I am not sure where or how to get this out to you guys but hopefully word of type and mounth will help. I will also start a thread in the misc section(I think)

I put these on my truck the night before the comp. Ordered on a Sunday, got them the next Friday.

Took about 15 mins per axle to get em trimmed up. Front took a bit longer cause the CDW OTA Kit cut arounds. Cut a small slit in the rear for my battery strap. Two small green zip ties and one small piece of servo tape 3/4" x 1 1/4" per skid.

I forgot these things were on until I rolled my truck on one course. Worked great. Truck didn't get stuck on those high centers. Protection is great. Just snapped some pictures.

I am surprized it took that long for them to get to ya it was shipped priority monday after work(early afternoon). They look like the fit pretty darn good... Just glad the made it to ya precomp.

Keep thinking about how many screws and what sizes are used on a average build.. I am going to offer s/s screws and nylon locnuts in the near future here... I can offer them in packages of however many also i just need some input from you guys on what ya want. Im thinking options of packs of 25/50/100. and build packs..... I got my skids today . I trimmed a little to much off the ends . So i think i may need to use double side tape & a zip tie to get them to stay on . the one on the RR axel fits really good . But the FR one does'nt fit as good because of the stock servo mount . I heated it to try & shape it a little around the clamp . It's a little better but not as good as the RR one . But i think it will be good enough .

Well for starters it has been a busy summer...However I have managed to get the other mold done. I also have a limited amount of material for a sort run.... of each kind. Sorry guys this material will be whiteish in color also...I doubt I will be getting black unless its by chance....Normally I would need to order 500 lbs before I can get color choosy..I will stay on the supplier to get my a couple sheets of black but untill that happens it will be white....I am hopeing to run some parts this weekend.....

Not sure about rit dye however it does seem that perm. markers tend to "stain" but some of the surfacew color does come off. So yes to some extent they can be changed colors. Rit dye may work better I havent tried.... Thanks All.

I am not sure what or if anything on the exterior has been changed on the V2 for berg. I do have skids for the berg They are 20$ a pr shipped to your door. Noone has mentioned any fit issues with any of the skids sold............... As long as the main structure is the same they will fit just fine. Dave.

Maybe someone will pipe and let us know. Mine is a enroute version..there is another version that I know of and they are the same except the name...

while the berg mold is in the shop for updates I have been looking for black material. So far no luck on the black unless I buy bulk...I am hopeing to catch a ride on a bigger order to get the color.. If i have found black when the mold is done then ill run the white. Dave

Well the berg mold is done I am trying to sneak in a short run of prototyps of the changes...I plan so send out a pr or 2 to check fit for the V2 models. I am also hunting down material...I have an added challenge to my timeframe (car is sick(headgasket))?? However I am to order material within the next week or 2 and hope to get the prot's ran sooner from what i can find around the shop... Updates soon to follow...

Sorry bully guys no offense intended!!! There will be bullies also... The bully mold is in good working order, it was ther berg mold that needed to be adapted to the newer version. Sorry about the long delay..
When I run these parts I basacally rent a machine to make them and with this there is a set up charge. I can run both molds with one set up charge as long as I run them at the same time. If I run them @ 2 different times I get 2 set up charges. I may have a line on some black material, I will get the details on Monday to see if I can get in on an order.
If not I will have to make other arrangements for material.
Again I appollogise for the delays....
I hope to get more info on the material this comeing week.

I havent made any changes to the bullies from the original version....
I should say sizewise. The material I get will be of the thicker version.

Dont count on black..........................That a IF I get lucky...I will be sending out a set of each to version 2 to be tested for fit then I will open for sale... getting close guys...

I dont think there is a difference in the the outside size or shape of any version of bully axle. Someone else in the know might wanna chime in here to correct me if needed..
