The "ROX BOX" Indy's Premier Indoor Crawling Facility

Well The Rox Box is finaly more than half way done so it is time to open up and start crawling "thumbsup"

It is located on the east side of Indy off of US 52 just east of 465 by about 1/4" of a mile .... It is not the biggest place, but the rent is great

At our test comp we ran 3 courses, and 8 gates and it worked out good

Handicrawler.... Seeing as it looks that Aaron overlooked this post, yes the facility is handicap accessible. Parking is out back and has a loading dock ramp that goes up into the back. I have not been there lately, so not sure how tight it is now, with the added rocks inside. But last I was there, plenty of room for you bud "thumbsup"

Just ;wanted to say it was nice meeting you all. After watching you all run the first course I'm more hooked on getting a crawler more than ever now. I almost went straight to the store to get one. You have a great indoor course. Loved seeing no dig setups get through that first one course.

Thanks to all who let me know to stay away for the RTR AX 10 and just get the ARTR. But I saw a TRI STATE Crawlers LOSI MRC ( I think his name was Mike) at Indy slots later and it was a very capable rig too. Might have to get that play with it and save the rest of my money for the Losi 1/10 comp rig

We are going to run the same format as our last comp "thumbsup"
I think everyone enjoyed it.

The following format is based on our normal turn out, and will change if more people come.

10 gates .... 5 min

courses 1 and 2 will be open from 11am to 12:30 pm
Then the judges and spoters will run.

Lunch and course 3 & 4 set up from 1pm to 2pm

courses 3 and 4 will be open from 2pm to 3:30pm
Then the judges and spoters will run.

4pm top 5 shoot out, 15 gate drive it like you stole it "thumbsup"

Thanks guys, I had a blast yesterday. I enjoyed the idea of running 4 course and a final. I would like to thank everyone that came out. Talk about a good group of guys yesterday, we has a group yesterday helped give a new driver a change to have fun and boy did he. I will not use has name but we had a 4 year old yesterday that competed all day with us. "thumbsup" For me this is what it is all about. So thanks everyone for helping this little driver have a blast.

Congats to TwistedCreation for Winning yesterday. The rest of the scores will follow here later today.

I did it in my wheelchair while everyone was outside goofing off at the last comp. Where were the video cameras when we needed them. :badger:

I made it witin 6" of the top, with my horrible setup. The setup is now fixed :) I went back out to 4 wheel parts on monday and destroyed course 1 before the rain washed out the marks. WAY better than it was.

2.2 Drivers will start at 9:00 am for 3 course

lunch

1.9 drivers will start after lunch for 2 course

We will be running a 2.2 no dig class this series

$5 per driver and each driver can drive both 2.2 and 1.9

I would say that by the time we meet again, there will be a schedule for the winter series."thumbsup" Probably every other week.

IMPORTANT INFO : PLEASE READ


Some House Rules going forward.

1. The only people on the rocks during the comp are the Judges, Driver and a spotter (if the driver ask for one) And Rox Box staff taking pictures. So going forward No one is to be on the rocks while the courses are in use.

2. Comp days are not practice days. Just because a course is not in use at that time does not mean drive on it. We run the change of altering that course for the next driver

If time allows after a comp we may turn it over to a free crawl practice time.

3. Crawling at the Box, out side of a planned comp or practice time most stop. There have been some issues that have happened at the industry park and people keep coming to me. They have turned one of the back cameras that shoot down the back drive to hit the rocks so they can see how is there when these issues come up. So please, this is my place of business and I want to be able to keep the out side part

Sorry for having to post some rules, but this shows that we are growing and that we have to work on ways to manage the growth and still have fun.

The door will open around 8:15 am

90% of the pit area's will be outside this time do to setting up for the dinner, so if you have an easy up or table you might what to bring it.
