Time to play with a new comp rig! I had to order some V3 Bully's for a customer, and RC4wd has a minimum quantity of 4 for every item, so I had some extra Bully's laying around. Figured I'd build up a 'state of the art' ride to bash on!
- HPI Bug
- Bully V3's w/ Associated Skid material
- Vanquish DH's + Slugs
- Kamikazi Zero ST with high-clearance links, dyed 2 shades of blue.
- Roadtech 3.5" shocks in front.
- Maxamps 2200 3-cell Lipo
- 14T 400 Cobalt motors, 9 tooth pinions, HH motor adapters
- Chisels with 2-stage foams, fronts cut
- (2) Mamba maxes, soon to be replaced with FX-R's
- Castle BEC
- Hitec 7955TG
- Axial uppers in blue, traxxas black hardware everywhere.
Some pics so far. Nothings been routed properly yet- just mocked up for testing!
3.65" Belly, might lower it a bit. Or not! :D

Thanks~! I'm not too worried about the cobalts, as long as I drive responsibly. It's pretty darn fast with the 14T's on 3Cell... I'll try not to get them too dirty. :)

If those are the Cenmark cobalts, then they are a little jumpy on the startup. At least mine were. They were not as smooth as a lathe motor, but damn aren't they nice and small.:ror:

They are Promax MPI cobalts, just like the HH ones, and they are buttery smooth. :)
I will have a thin lexan gear cover.
thanks!

I like what you've done so far. Thats a very clean looking rig. You chose to use high quality parts, and that always pays off in the long run. Keep us posted."thumbsup"

I actually found all that old junk in my sock drawer. I don't have the money to buy nice equipment. Except the Mamba Maxes- I use them as topsoil out in the garden- there's probably 2-3 hundred of them out there under the roses.

Nice setup and good list of parts. My ST works perfect for me. Best chassis i have ran to date. I am at 3 3/8" belly clearance with medium links.
Works pretty good at that height. Could be a hair lower. I like your chassis color as well.

I had my first Comp (and run!) with the Bully. Loved it, but unfortunately the aluminum motor adapter plates I was using stripped out, causing the gear mesh to fail on every course. I'll be switching to regular Lathe motors to avoid that problem in the future! Other than that, I loved the chassis and the axles. Can't wait to get more time on them!

Bummer on the motor adapter plates.
Paint jobs look really good!
Had my first run today with my KK 4.0 and Bully's and love them to ;-)

Rig looks sweet! What kind of servo horn is that? I'm looking for one like that where the arm is closer to the servo.
