Great deal. At that price you can't go wrong with the CC. Look through all the great threads on here that deal with the CC, you will get a good idea of what works and what does not. My personal opinion on the mods would be to stretch it to 12.5" (if you plan to comp with it you can not be any longer) and add 2.2 wheels and tires.

ya you need to sign up for e-mail updates. The more e-mails you have the more coupons you get. I got mine for 29.99 also plus 9.99 shipping. You can't beat it.

The only mass produced upgrades I know of are the Duratrax ones you can get through tower. There was a guy on here that was making a chassis but I have not seen anything lately about it. I think it was through "the scale shop". I made the chassis and links I am running.

These axles should be perfect, it only measures at 186mm width with a standard 1.9 wheel and axial axles and hexes. Slightly narrower than TLT axles with the same wheels. Great for scale builds!

Because Dutatrax did not do their homework before they put it on the market and it has not been selling due to it not really fitting into either the 1.9 or 2.2 class.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

It is fun to play with and if you are handy with delrin you can make it even better. For the price it is worth picking up in my opinion.

I keep hearing people ask for coupon codes all the time. Then I hear you can't use other people's codes. $50 is definitely worth it. We got some cheap charlies in here huh =P

People follow these rules and follow the anti-cc sayers. You can either follow these people or don't. Such things like it is not legal for any competition and it cannot be a scaler. Logically it should be allowed to compete and yes it can be made as a scaler.

When you think about it, super clods, bergs, etc should'nt be allowed either. Whatever, like the CC is a threat to other crawlers.

Noone would stop you from running a CC in 2.2 class to my knowledge. It would just get stuck before the first gate.

I would assume that the CC just simply cannot hang with others in the 2.2 class. But against a tlt or losi in 1.9 class who knows? If the dimensions fit within the rules it should be legal, just like what they do with the super and 2.2 class. Somehow for the 1.9 it is not allowed. What are they thinking?

They were thinking that the losi MRC was the basis. I've heard there will be other brands along the same design, shafty and dimensions, coming out eventually. It is pretty big for 1.9 though. My TLT axles have more ground clearance than the CC.
