Hey guys this is the second attempt at a Comp grade homemade tuber by me.
Some of you may have seen my other tuber but this one is much better and better planned out with the link positions and such.

Custom made foams for the Rovers. 1/2" slices of stock foam on the sides of a full Proline memory foam. Seems to work nice for now.

Lower that thing down. It Would also look better if there were 2 down bars on the rear insted of 1. I still like it and I know you have put alot of hard work into that chassis.

That thing in the 12th pic looks like the Warthhog off of Top Truck Challange LOL

I thought about dropping id down a bit also, what would be the best way to do that? Droop shocks? I am temped to do that

Put internal stops inside the shock between the lower part of the shock and the shock plunger. Nitro fuel line works great for that

ya man i will... it looks real good...
the bta steering looks interesting... do you get full throw each way??? are those plastic or derlrin lowers? i cant tell but if they are plastic i would suggest to go to derlin... it does sit a little high and i bet that chassis is decentally heavy so i would suggest trying half droop half sprung with the internal springs... you have to test and tune but i have noticed that most tubers run droop or at least some droop since they are top heavy... other than that man keep up the good work brazing is very hard and you did a good job on it...

Oh ya and don't forget the infamous 4" Losi crawler shocks. Those work great and will lower your shit too.

You could run shorter coil springs like t maxx springs with internal springs taking up the droop slop that way they will work like anti-roll spring therefore on a side hill you won't unload your suspention... Search around and you can find a good shock set up.

I still like the losi shock idea! LOL

My shocks are the new Axial ones and I really like them, so I'll see if I can droop them.

And yes the links are plastic, but I just bought a DX3R and my next upgrade is a VP dig (exept shocks)

Update:

I did a kinda droop thing, I just took the shocks off. Seems ok but i still need to play with it a little.

Also i got some white and red LED's and mounted them in headlights and taillights. ill get them on the crawler soon for some nightime crawlin. as soon as i get some pics, ill post em

I realy like the tube body. Wish I could weld that way. Dont like whats in the stores for sale. BTW I want to lower my axial too. So I am thinking of fuel line inside or pensprings.

I like it, "thumbsup" . I dont think anyone here dosent like tubers, they just dont want to work hard enough to get them set right. Its taken me awile to get mine all dialed but I think It does awesome. Its also nice to know that you arent going to go to a comp and see someome else driving your truck, or anything even close. :)

I'm running the same foam-setup in my Rovers, and its awesome. Much better at sidehilling, and the grip on rocks really 'rocks' :D

I thought of replacing them with 2 stage foam, but I'm not sure its worth the effort.
