I fininally stretched my tlt out even more. I extened the WB by 2 inches making it at 13.5 inches. It was 11.5. THe name stands for my first and last name and it stands for Long Wheelbase  ....

I am going to get some Maxx-size tires for it. I will have a 4.5 inches of ground clearance with the j-dawg tires. Right now I have 3.75 I think. My car isn't complete because I don't have the shock mounts (the angle pipe in the pics will be my shock mount. It is a sneak peak as to what is to come.) , and I also need to do the battery holder. In the pics I showed how that would fit in there. It will fit nice and snug with the angle mounted on there.

I should finish the car by Sunday.

I just put the body on there. I am going to cut it up later and maybe get a jeep body.

I just put this pic in cuz it looked cool  I don't have the shock mounted yet, but right now I have about 110* flex, and with the shocks I should get about 60-70* flex.

Sneak Peak as to what it will look at later on when I am finished.

you might want to move your batteries up, they're killing your breakover angle! :flipoff:

It looks good, Kid! Keep it up!

I finished everything except the dog bones. I have the shcok mounts done and all. I will post pics of how I am going to mount my batteries. It will make more since then.

Is that the stock tranny on its side??? If so, that is a very inventive way of using it. EDIT: On second thought, it looks kind of like a buggy/truck tranny.

Cutter was making a joke about the stack of batteries you have under the truck, and the fact you won't be able to flex with all of them underneath ;)

How heavy is the chassis? You might be able to get creative with some drill bits/hole bits and take out some extra weight. Just don't go too crazy or else you won't have a chassis left over.

OH, I thought he was talking about where I had the battery in one of the pictures.

I put the batteries underneth because my shocks arn't mounted on there, so I had to have something holding my car up.

It's a rc10 tranny. I know it's geared high, but you can always jump the rocks :flipoff:

Hey, I got some clod tires. They are narrowed cut-n-shtu clod tires. They look great on my car.

I ordered the wheel wideners and wheel hubs for the clod tires. Pics will be here Thursday!! It looks great to! I have about 65 degress flex now.

Sounds good, how wide are the tires? Seems like a lot of TLT owners are getting clod tires, including me.

Your chassis looks really narrow. Is it stock width?

The tires are 3 inch wide. Let me find some pics of em from the person I got em from.
The tires on this car are the tires on my car now. http://rccrawler.com/postt1921.html

New specs of my car now...
Width: 11 3/4'' wide with the wheel wideners ( i dont have em yet, they are on order)
Center clearance: 4 1/4''
Axle clearance: 2 1/8''
Wheel base: 13 3/4''
Length: 19''

I have a rc10 tranny in there, so the chassis is only 2 3/8 wide. Is that bad? If so, why?

No, its not bad. I just didn't think a RC10 tranny would fit in a chassis that narrow.
