Well, I've had this Pajero sitting on my shelf half painted and half assembled since Christmas. I starting reading some of the builds in this section and got inspired. I haven't posted a build thread in a while mostly b/c I've had the same rigs for a long time and have only been modifying them a little here and there. I'll try and stay committed to this rig w/o going on to a different one. Here's some specs:
Tamiya Pajero painted Metallic Green on Light Gunmetal
Axial 55T Motor Traxxas
2075 H2OProof servo
TQ3 Rx/Tx
Traxxas XL5 H2OProof ESC
RC Channel Aluminum Shocks
RC4WD Rock Creepers
Axial Black Beadlocks
3 Racing Winch
Tamiya Lignt Kit
Modified Rear Suspension w/ Axial Links
Body Lift

I did the body lift by adding 8mm of Axial Aluminum spacers under the front body mount and I drilled two new holes for the rear for about 5mm of lift. The rear also got 4mm of lift under the shocks using the Tamiya copper bushing method. For the rear suspension I also took some 3/8" aluminum c channel and cut to length and notched out to fit snug under the axle and drilled some holes to mount the lower links and shocks. There's a couple of pics of the shocks and some body shots. More to come."thumbsup"

Looks good with the lift. I might lift my pajero a couple mm's now. Are you going to cut back the front of the chassis to gain some approach?

Thanks pantablo! Not quite at you level but it should be functional.

Thanks! The lift was really easy to do and seems to be effective. Oh yea I'm deinitely gonna mod the front and ad a bumper.

Thanks man! You should get one, they're worth it. An Eco Sami would be cool."thumbsup"

THe newer mods look good. I like the rear axle mods with the links and the C channel. That is the one thing it dont like about the CC01's is all the plastic in the suspension. I still aint sold on the Creepers. I guess we will just have to see them in action compared to the Thrashers or the Traildocs to decide."thumbsup"

Here's a little update. I finished the rear 4 link. Works good and the slop is gone. I was gonna try and do a double triangle set up but couldn't get everything to cooperate w/o making a hole new crossmember. Next I'm gonna add a little suspension lift to the front and trim all the fenders to make enough room so the tires don't rub at all. Here's some pics of the rear 4 link and some flex shots.:)

Looking good Ronzo. Now if I can get mine together before the comp next weekend. Waiting on bearings...they kinda put a stop to everything.

Thanks! Yea the c channel work better than using the tlt brackets b/c those hang way down and the c channel is flush with the bottom of the axle. I like the Creepers but we'll see how well they do. I have plenty of tires to choose from.

Thanks! Yea I have all my bearings still in the package b/c I got them after I put the kit together.

Thanks man, I appreciate that! Ya can't go wrong with the Axial beadlocks especially for the price.

Little update. I got some of the trim paint done and added the TLT bushing lift to the front. It lifted the front up enough to even out the truck."thumbsup" I can't stand a truck that is higher in the rear than the front. I also added a Hilux Snorkel (from RPP). It fits almost perfectly and I think it looks pretty good. I added a little paint to the inlet area for a little detail. I attached it by tapping 2 holes and screwing in 2 set screws and then drilled to holes in the body to put the screws thru and then put a couple lock nots on them to secure it. I can't stand messy glue.

Ok it's running now so I took it for a little test run on my backyard rock garden. I got all the fenders trimmed so the tires won't rub but not too much where it doesn't look stock. It does pretty well but I definitely have more work to do like locking the front end (I built it open), moding the front end for a better approach angle, installing all the bearings and installing my RC4WD 4:1 GRU to the Axial 55T motor. It needs more weight in the wheels and the battery I was testing with doesn't seem to have enough juice for it. Here's a few action shots.8)

Jero looks really great. I'm diggin' all the work you've done. I highly recommend the 4:1 gear reduction for the CC-01. You should look into the TA02 knuckles and CVDs for the front to get some steering out of that thing.

I appreciate the compliments. I've got more to do for sure. I'm definitely gonna get the front end/steering upgrades."thumbsup"
