Would you guys want the TM ESC waterproofed? This could be an add on option.

1. I would do the potting myself
2. it would probably add $10 to the cost
3. the warranty would change since these would be underwater, probably 90 days.
4. out of warranty exchanges would cost more since a bad ESC would be a brick and not fixable.

This would also near double the weight of the ESC.

Yay or nay?

I say do it to it.

Do some, don't do some.

For the comp'r, or for the scaler.

Like PeeWee said, Make it an option for those that want it.

Hell yeah my scaler needs a waterproof one!
As long as it is an option and I can get more non-waterproofed ones for all the comp rigs.;)

I would keep it an option because I would want it non waterproof for my comp rig because it will never see water.

it should be an option on the site, i think that would be the best way"thumbsup"

I voted yes, but I think for mass appeal having it as an option would be your best bet. I'll be ordering a few of these but I only run scalers so the added weight is well worth the waterproofing, for someone running a comp truck however the weight could be a deciding factor.

I would love waterproofing for that extra reassurance! "thumbsup"

I voted yes because I think people would find to be a great option.

I hide my ESCs in waterproof boxes in my scalers anyway but many people don't. It would be a handy option for my rock racer though.

I would definitely like to see it as an option, I'd happily pay the 10 bucks extra, and in fact will be waiting until I see this offered :D!

I think it's a much better option as compared to waterproof boxes. Smaller footprint, and heat is dissipated more easily.

Oh yeah! 6S + 6V BEC + Waterproofing. The ultimate drop-in ESC for the All Terrain/All Weather X-RockCrawler/Racer. "thumbsup"

How about the option to buy extended warranty beyond 3 months ... just like applecare :)

The option to buy an extended warranty would be the same as a replacement for a non-warranty brick. It would be a bear to keep up with the extended warranty, on my end.

Looks like I will do this. I will get some potting epoxy and see what can be done.

It would be perfect for the scaler.

I'd like the option, cause the non-water proof version is perfect for the comp rig.

Please do it. "thumbsup"

You'd have the scaler market in the corner.

A add on would be a cool idea."thumbsup".That way if you wanted it to be waterproof it could be..If not it didn't have to be..Good for the guys who are on budgets and may not have multiple esc's..

HELL YES!!!! I would put one in my scaler and my rock racer. You would have most of the scaler market wanting to put one in their rig. This would be a awsome add on feature.

I have epoxy potting on the way. It seems to be the best suit for our application, but it will basically junk the controller if there is a problem with it. After some testing I will give the yay or nay. It will probably weaken the BEC power because of heat. FETs will still have full contact with the heatsink, so it may not change the motor amp ratings.

Water is always a concern in Oregon, and water is fun! I've waterproofed ESC's before, but it's never very fun or small. A REAL esc that is H2O proof and you've got another sale!!!
