i`m starting to build RC landrover with clod axles using Bratz body.

How u think should I paint frame to flat black colour ??

I can`t bend them in other way because of low links mounts. I saw every page of King Cobra`s Landrover :)

Yes. I'm running the same wheels on my 2.2" Clod. ;)

That`s cool they will work. I wanted to buy deep dish version of this wheels (rustler rear wheels) but axle will be to wide with it. CSR you have got front or rear rustler wheels on your clod ?

LOL ... I`m so fast man :) I wanted to paint it form a start but I want to hear at least one opinion to make sure it will looks good.

Looks really cool! I think the black frame really goes well. It's not too often you see a real vehicle with anything but a black frame. Just help to add to the realism.

Everything looks good. i like how it is. just one thing i would change. the tires, IMO they look too small and it dont go with the body. but thats just my oppinion. But it does look good. Good job man.

Crazy4link : Nice to hear that fram looks good. I painted t flat black, and I think it will look much better when I`ll scratch it during drive. I`ll post much more pics for sure ... can`t wait to take outdor photos. I think i make them b4 christmass cause I will get wheels in week I think.

Pedemaster-rc : Wheels are even big. It`s scaled jeep, not monster jeep :) Cool you like it too.

The wheels designed for the REAR of the Stampede/Rustler have more backspacing. You want more backspacing on the Clod. With 'pede rear wheels my Clod is 12" wide.

Not sure.... I'd guess around 13-13.5"

'Rover and chassis look good. :) I was gonna say those red T-Maxx springs are going to be stiff mounted vertical like that.... but the ABS body is heavy.... so they'll probably work out fine. ;)

Cutting coils lowers the ride height ...doesnt make it softer :roll: , Pick up some losi springs from your lhs for 3 bucks or so, and put in lighter wieght oil and drill an extra hole or 2 in the piston and youll be good to go...

Wheel work out good but tires are a little to hard.

Here are some daylight photos, I painted mirrors black too. One in-cab shoot but it`s not finished. I`ll paint steering wheel and some details too.

Wheels are from Rustler and tires from Academy Hummer, I think they are the same as Bruiser have.

Reason I ask is that I plan to make my daughter a clod based truck with something along this lines when she is a wee bit older and yours seems to be taking my ideas to the penultimate..

Yes ... I will put other spare definetly. I`m thinking about paint all body to any colour, cause this paint is metallic , and it doesn`t look so good for trial jeep I think.

Woooow, that was a really nice job on that truck, looks very good and scale like. Those pictures taken outside is even better, nice camerawork there.

Im also working on a scale like project now, but im not done yet.

Could you post those two videos again, those you posted in the very beginning of this thread ?? please, would love to have a look at them.

Nice Rover!! I like the cd hanging from the windshield, thats detail!! I'm in Bosnia right now so unfortunately I won't be able to go running through the woods like you, but fortunately the Bosnians still have lots of rubble left over from the war so there should be some good crawling!! I personally think the first set of wheels you had on there first (the front ones) looked better than the chrome but its a sweet ride. Great vids too!
