OK, Ive been building my mad force axle truck for a while now. Im almost complete, but I need help on the pinions.

Im running a e-maxx tranny with revo drive shafts. I drilled out the end cup to fit over the mad force pinion but I dont trust it. Ive seen someone running the BFT pinions, but Im curious about the proper bearings to use? (This is so I can order all the rest of the parts one time). So do I use the stock force bearings or do I use the ones for the BFT? (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=lxfus7&FVPROFIL=++&search3=Go) Thats the one that tower list for the BFT pinion...

Why don't you trust it?

I was under the impression they were the same pinion, well, size wise that is. I upgraded to the helical cut ring and pinion. Very nice pieces that are just like the ring and pinions in my Toyota. I believe they are quite a bit stronger than the regular ol' stright cut ring and pinions.

Mainly I dont trust my self (My craftsmen ship). I "think" the BFT pinion is skinnier then the mad force. Plus it already has a hole in it, so I can solidly attach the revo end on it. I really hope Im right, because I just ordered the parts from Towers.

If my bootie fabed pile of http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v72/Raptorman57/cid_003601c3e5fd3aee7ae095bcfea9computer.gif parts works, you shouldn't have a worry in the world

I can understand that. I'm not real tickled about a grub screw,I've loctited mine and had no troubles, yet that is. I hope your right also, good luck. :)

you could always drill out the mf pinions.the helical gears from the rtr mf are very nice and cost didly .
