Thought I would share another one of my brothers tube frame tlt's. Its getting closer to being done. I just painted the body yesterday for it. and he got it actually going tonight. Specs will be up soon. Still lots of work to do on it!
Let me know what you guys think. If nobody likes it I will strip it and take all my parts back that he "borrowed" :)

Looks good, but needs more triangulation! :flipoff: What tranny is that? Maybe want to consider using countersunk screws for the lower links/ tranny so it slides over rocks easier. I like it.

Its the t3 stealth tranny. The screw on the bottom are all going to be hidden by a skid plate once its done. Everything is just put together right now so see how it performs before the frame gets painted. He is thinking chrome in a can hehe

Skid plate; that explains it. I'll have to look into those stealth tranny's. They seem to be getting more popular. Any idea what the gear ratio is on one of those?

To answer some Q's...
siiick! What red iand black is tht? Love the colors.
Its faskolor charcoal for the main color. and the spider & flames are a blend of flourescent orange and red.
Definitely! Did you hand paint that or use a liquid mask?
Definately liquid mask. The paint on the body is pretty much the only part of this truck I can take credit for, o and all the parts lol. Otherwise my bro did a great job so far.
hmmmmm chassis mounted steering servo..... nice
Ha! I was wandering when somebody would notice that, I swear you never miss a thing. Good eye. :)
Sweet looks amazing! how did toy paint the poision spider logo on the hood or is it a decal?
We masked the whole body, then my bro cut out the logo from a comp image and I painted the revealed area.
Thanks for all the compliments, I know he sees them as well.

In the past month my bro has worked on this truck alot. It actually crawls extremely well for its size and weight!
The first coat of paint was a silver chrome color, and that chipped right off.
Now its orange and a much stronger paint. He also added rock sliders on the side to protect and capture the body, along with some front and rear bumper work.

The steering works great! The first few setups had some bumpsteer, but its not even noticable where its at now.

My brother really wanted to powdercoat it but was afraid it would cost too much. How does it hold up to gettin beaten on the rocks? Has it chipped at all yet? I know it looked great at folsom!

Thanks Sam! I will be sure to talk my brother into letting me "break" it in lol. I just hope he built it well enough to hold up to my driving style, and yours .
Yes for sure, too bad my jeep doesnt have as much rock rash as yours does :( Then they would look perfect next to eachother. I was very suprised with its performance! It did better than expected for pulling a Sam and building it only a day or so before .

It showes scratches but no chipping and But I put the foam padding around the top roll bars to protect the power coating. It cost me $20.00 to have it coated.
Hey whare do I get those telephome seat holders? In one ear and out the other.
