I get about an 1.25" of travel that is with 2 leafs per spring not three. Leaf springs seem to flex more after you start useing them.
Thanks for the compliment.

works great i like the scale look of it (do not have a servo setting on top of the axle)

Nice dude, take the trialer off road too!
yes i do, however, with the hummer tires the ground clearance is not the best but hey thats what the locked axles and lathe motor are for just keep pulling.

thanks.

so what do you think of this.......tlt axils, squair steel or aluminum for a chassis, t-maxx shafts, jugg leafs, clod body painted gunmetal, swamp dawgs, tlt shocks, beadlocks, rustler trannsmission, eather a 55t, or maby even a dewalt drill moter, taken rebble 2, traxxas radio, and a 645mg survo........is that all you need?

maxxdrive
05-05-2006, 12:48 PM
in my opinion that sounds good. hope you have fun building it.that is what i enjoy most. most of the time i build them and hardly play with them just like to build.

nice truck how did you make the hood scoope and the grill

plyr2k
05-15-2006, 12:03 AM
the hood and grill are stock clod pecies i think

EDIT: i just looked again and thse are not stock my guess is that it took him a while to do and hes a good craftsman

maxxdrive
05-15-2006, 02:28 PM
nice truck how did you make the hood scoope and the grill

the hood scoop is the stock ram air intake turned around backwards with the crome sanded off and glued to the hood. then i took bondo and grafted it onto the hood so it would look half way decent. took about twenty hours

the grill is a stock super clod buster grill but i filed the 4X4X4 off and made it look like a square tube grill then painted it black. took about seven hours to get it like i wanted.
my guess is that it took him a while to do and hes a good craftsman thanks for the compliment.

like i said earlier i am working on a new scale crawler. it will also have a clod body with out cowl induction hood. here are a few pics of the front and rear bumpers. the tubeing is copper that has been filled with solder. the flat plate is thick copper. i think they will hold up really well. the front bumper has two receiver hitches with removable d rings, the back bumper also has a reciever i just havent built the dring yet, it will also have a place to mount the highlift jack. let me know what yall think.

i want to do a cawl induction hood
the hood is not hard fill the hole in the hood in with bondo then strip the chrome off the air intake turn it around backwards and ca it to the hood then use body filler to sculpt it in.

the rims look good and free is always nice:-P

i dont know......im not very far on this......i havent even got my body yet....all i have is my tires, and their not even finished......what did you do maxxdrive?.......if i have to use wideners, i might switch to brusier axels, and im thinking of it already, they look more realalistic......

maxxdrive
06-07-2006, 01:02 PM
the pics in this thread do not have wideners but my other set of tires are moabs as well but they are on hpi rims which have a wider aooset than traxxas rims so they give me about a 1/2 inch wider track.
