I have a Electric Traxxas stampede and all i hvae are troubles, i prop the rear on a rock since I use Manual speed control and it spins when i connect the battery cable, when i pull a bit on the trigger it stops then moves with the controller at normal rate
I then push it forwards and it will go for a moment before acting as if the battery is dead. I can get film if need, please help!

On your control, which I assume is the Traxxas TQ Radio, there is a small knob labeled 'Throttle Trim'. When you plug your battery in, rotate this knob left or right until the wheels stop. That should fix your first problem.

Are you positive your battery is charged? I have tried to run a truck on a dead battery before. If you can, borrow a friend's battery and see if there is still a problem. If there is still a problem, take the motor out, clean it out with motor spray, let it dry, and reinstall it.

Well I got that fixed, now when i move to go reverse I hold it it goes in reverse i tap it it moves forward on its own, and my pin that holds the wheel on isn't glued onso I krazy glued it and when I was driving it the front whell smacked a small ledge and the nut unscrewed (Was stripped) came off wheel falling off so I lost the nut and dunno how much they are or where to get them.

If you look in you owners manual, if you still have it. If not go to www.traxxas.com (http://www.traxxas.com) and find a parts list on your truck there. What kind of ESC is it your using? Name of it? What kind of battery are you using? Is it the right size/kind? It could be all these things, just gotta sort through and find which one. If your new to RC then theres alot to learn. The people that have been in RC on this site in others have not mastered all the rc related things and never will, so just be patient and give it time and learn what you can while you can. If you need some more help let us know we are here to help and also learn. Some on here now way more than others excluding myself I am still learning about Rock Climbing with RC trucks. I just purchesed a TLT so i am gonna hope I can build that without any trouble!

Is it the nut that holds the wheel on? If so, it is a 4mm nylon lock-nut. You can pick up a bunch at your local hardware store, ACE Hardware, Home Depot, or Lowes. You can also order them online, Traxxas part number 1747:

You can also purchase blue ones if you like them better:

Before you put a new nut on, check to be sure that there is a hex and a pin. The hex is the hexagon shaped piece that fits into the backside of the wheel. The pin runs through a hole in the axle and fits into a slot in the hex. Both of these have to be intact for the truck to function properly.

I looked at the pin last night and pushed it a bit, it moved out but there was no hex in it, where can I buy these?

Alright guys, I got it fixed but my spur gear is stripped so i'm going to the local hobby shop to see if I can get a new metal spur gear since mine is ground down and my motor just winds up and myleft rear U-joint pin is worn down so I need a new one.

Moving this to chit-chat, while there is technical information, it's not crawling related.

I would have to advice against a metal spur:

This site has almost all the enough you will ever need:

If you have more questions, you can ask in a Stampede - specific forum, like this one:
