What did you have to do to increase the amount of articulation? I assumed that they didn't have a lot of flex, but yours seems to have plenty! Was it a difficult procedure or fairly straightforward?
I'd like to see how you did the servo "powerplant" setup as well with some closeup pics. I might have to go out and get me one of those.

Okay here is the step by step and articulation shots.
Step One: Cut away the tabs that appear to stop the rear end from any further articulation.
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/3493/17pa.jpg (http://imageshack.us)http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/1171/29sg.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Step Two: Next with the rear end seperated from the truck you will have to cut the corners of the squared portion that fits into the grove when the rear end is attached. It is below the circular area that houses that shaft for the AWD. This piece in conjunction with the tabs are what stops the car from the factor from any further articulation. If you look at what I have cut off essentially it will allow the rear end to twist slightly passed where the tab used to be

One's you have it all smoothed out. I sliced off a small triangle (remember sometimes less is more be careful little by little) and then used the X-acto to shave away a little material at a time as I test fit in between to see if I had the articulation I was looking for.
Step Three: Put it all back together. Test the articulation to make sure there is no binding and that it has the articulation you are looking for. Keep in mind it may need a new body as you will probably articulate more then the stock body can handle.
if you cut too much on step 2 there is nothing to hold the rear end of the truck on.

Would you happen to have the specs for that servo? Torque, model no??? A pic of the servo would be cool. That truck must have an insanely low CG. In the first set of pics it looks like it is on a seriously steep rock.
looks good, think I might have to get one now. :flipoff:

With all of the small plastic models it's fairly easy to make them look cool too.

Sorry to drag this back to the top, but how did you mod the servo to move 360*+? I just picked one up to use as a tranny/motor and cut the plastic tab off the gear, but am not sure how to remove the pot. Did you just drill the top gear a little bigger and glue the pot in place? or is there a cleaner way?
Thanks for any advice...

Just run the motor straight to your ESC.

Hmm... Never thought of that, think I might try and elimate the pot so that I can run it wothout an ESC, to save space and $$$... Now to find an evo on ebay for cheap...
Thanks tho...
