Well guys here it is, the long awaited, re-designed and ready to rock " Barnyard Buster Scale Chassis " It is now the BB-51, re-named for new design and innovation. It is not only a scale chassis, but it will actually compete in an event and preform amazing. We were contacted by microgoat, the original designer and asked to take over the project. We did and have made many improvements and design inovations. The chassis is precision laser cut and cnc machined to perfection. it is cut from 6061 aircraft aluminum, it will have a machined finish unlike anything you have ever seen, it retains the ladder frame design and c-channel rails. It is capable of running leafs or 4 link, your choice. It features a black delrin center skid plate / tranny mount. We will pre-drill the skid for your choice of trannies, losi, stealth or pede. The cross rails are also aluminum, it has multiple shock mounts for straight up scale look, or inboard, comp ready style performance. We will be offering as bolt on accesories in the near future a front stinger with winch mount and LED lights, a rear stinger and tire carrier and funtional rock sliders. All will be direct bolt on for this chassis. It will also come with Bender's link mounts for front and rear axles. The chassis is also now designed 60/40 with the availablity to run 11" up to 12.5" w/b with minimal changes. it is the most versital, easy to build, original scale chassis on the market. There is over 2 total years of design and research and development of this chassis, it just may be the last scale chassis you ever buy.
There will be 5 builds hitting the scale forum very shortly, names like, rbgerrish, badger, microgoat, mtwrench and myself, unimoger.
Price will be $199.95 shipped priorty mail in the lower 48 states with link mounts included.
PM me for details, pics to follow shortly, STAY TUNED!

Thank you, Ben. I'm glad someone took on this HUGE project and made it actually happen.
You all remember the Barnyard Buster, and now you really have a chance to buy one. The original interlocking design remains, so the BB-51 is as solid as the original, but more performance-oriented, with revised shock locations, either inboard or outboard.
It ain't cheap, but it's a work of art. Better than that, it's a work of CRAFT. Once you see it, you won't want another chassis.

When you drive like I do, you have to build a strong chassis
Buster will take anything you can throw at it. The link geometry is as solid as the platform, so it crawls as good as it looks. I did my homework, and Ben went over it with a red felt-tip pen.

The original scale ladder frame is still the best.

Looks great, but can I ask why all the edges are angled instead of rounded like a truck frame? I would order one, but I am not sure on it now...;-) just curious.
This pic is not as good as they are in person. the edges are all smooth the sw-2, but we wanted to keep the SCALE look of a 1:1 frame with the sharp c-channel and ladder frame design. It is a little lower and much more stout than before also.

The one in the pic is my prototype. Only three were made, and all three are long gone. Those were the ones I tried to sell at $250, pre-order, half down, half on delivery. I needed 10 buyers to make a production run because unlike Unimoger, I don't have my own CNC.
I got one guy who was willing to put down a deposit. So that's why only the three prototypes were ever built. EDIT that, Holmes was down for five of them. Still not enough, though.
Then Ben bought the Mastercam file from me for ONE MILLION DOLLARS :flipoff: and tweaked the design a little bit for better performance and easier setup. Some other specs were changed, too. The skid is now low-friction Delrin rather than aluminum, and comes with a choice of three different hole patterns, depending on which tranny you run. The original Buster was literally designed around the Pede tranny; there are cutouts in the frame rails so the tranny is locked in place. The BB-51 is a lot more flexible regarding your layout.
I'm not going to apologize for the price, and I'm not going to expect Ben to apologize for it, either. There are a lot of operations that go into making one of these. The setup time on the old one took the better part of a day. CNC time isn't cheap, even if you own the machine. Ben will probably say "especially if you own the machine." When you see the finished product, you'll know you got your money's worth. This is the last scale chassis you'll ever buy.

This guys is smart ^^^^ , we are going to post pics of the bare chassis here shortly just doing the pics today, had a campout / comp this weekend that I hosted. Then the builds of these 5 trucks will hit the scale forum shortly too. I have already started mine and Goat too, badger, rbgerrish and mtwrench will follow. The first run of these is 10 chassis' 5 are spoken for 5 are available, then the production will start, depending on demand" which looks to be HUGE " we will make 10-30 chassis' at a time. They are $199.95 shipped in the lower 48 with bender link mounts, delrin skid and all stainless steel hardware included.

Alright guys, some long awaited pics for all to see. This is the rough cut, the C channel has not been done on the CNC yet and the cross rails are not on yet, BUT, I thought you guys deserved to see something. The delrin skid plate is in, the tranny is mounted, lay down style, as low as it could possibly be, check the pics. The chassis only stands 2" tall fully assembled. NOTE: the top of the tranny and the top of the shock mounts are the same height, giving a lower profile and better preformance. The cross rails are NOT on yet either, there are 4 of them and they fit tightly in the C channel's. The chassis is 15 1/2" long which will fit almost any body you want. There are lot's more pics, but what would be the fun of showing you them all at once? Enjoy, lot's more to come, the truck is nearly done now.
ahhh, the first run of chassis'
