I don't post a lot, because I'm not really into crawling (there isn't much of a crawling scene where I live), but I like reading the custom build threads a lot.

Because there's obviously a lot of people on here that appreciate custom built projects, I thought I'd post some pictures of my two latest projects. (If you don't think they should be on a crawling forum then just delete this thread.)

First there's my new 2WD called "Aces High" I built this one purely for competition. It has a home made front & rear axle, front & rear rims, clutch, fuel tank, header & pipe etc. It's powered by an .46 OS ducted fan engine and as a little extra I equipped it with diskbrakes on each output-shaft. The brakes are controlled by a gyro, to help the puller going straight. It took some experimenting with the gear-ratio and the pipe to get the engine to run properly, but I've got that sorted out by now.

Next is another 2WD, which is meant more for show than for serious competition. It has two OS .30 Wanke engines, which I connected crank-to-crank to form a single .60 2-disk rotary engine. On this puller there's also a lot of homemade parts.

And here's a video of it running: http://home.hetnet.nl/~cyril-wichers/images/wankel.avi

I hope you like them.

Holy Crap! That is sweet. Love the wheels up pic. Awesome machines! That dual rotary sounds awesome too. Got any vids or it in action? Thats the first time I have seen anybody use the Wankel.

I wish you would get into crawling more, I'd like to see what you'd come up with. ;-)
